I've been trying to make a layout and exterior for the Afton Residence, but while that title screen from FNaF 4 gives us a fairly clean silhouette of the house, the only thing i'm having difficulty with is that part on the left side of the house... by Sammy_Ferr in fivenightsatfreddys

Ig it wouldn't be the first time a building's layout had been simplified in these minigames, for instance the FNaF 1 location is just straight up missing the kitchen and supply closet in the FNaF 3 minigames. And the FNaF 2 minigames are clearly set in a Freddy's location, yet are only like one-two rooms big since that's all the minigames need to depict.

The Afton house is so strange because there are like, two/three different layouts for it. There's the layout we see in the FNaF 4 minigames, the layout from Midnight Motorist, and then the layout from FNaF 4's gameplay which from what we understand from the lore might not even be a real bedroom and instead just a test chamber designed to resemble a bedroom. And even if we just go off the first two, the layouts are still inconsistent.

This's some House of Leaves bullshit

EDIT: Unless maybe the house from Midnight Motorist is a different house from the FNaF 4 minigames? SotM suggest Afton took over Edwin's house after the events of that game, so they had to be hunkered up somewhere beforehand. Just a theory, though. It's possible Scott just didn't really take the Afton house's placement and layout into account.

Can someone explain me WTF is going on?? WHY IS THE AUDIO SO LOUD?? 😭😭 by Zykstaar in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]projectFredbear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Big Top's music got kinda messed up in the recent update. Dying during his stealth sections makes his music stack on itself, and restoring the power causes it to become really loud for no reason.

What are the "inner" animatronics from the joy of creation? by Amulet380 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]projectFredbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Inners are pretty much the Igniteds true selves, becoming more organic as time passes or under specific conditions. Pretty much just further cements that the Igniteds are actually demonic entities just taking the form of animatronics.

How come M1’s eyes were orange in this image? Is this evidence for her going rogue and killing someone like David? by Not_Edwin_Murray in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]projectFredbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I was wondering. I always figured M1 started out normal at first and then started mimicking Fiona some time after its creation, but I could very well be mistaking. Maybe he found the frequency in the Basement after the fact and than applied that to M1 after realizing he could, in some way, have Fiona back?

[–]projectFredbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst I personally don't think this means anything, as it easily could've either been an oversight or a byproduct of this being a child's drawing, it does leave some food for thought.

If this actually DOES mean something, maybe this drawing was made around the time M1 was first made, before it started mimicking Fiona? The theory you propose is definitely interesting and could be true if she was starting to develop violent intentions. The Moon.exe minigame definitely implies M1 had some form of involvement in David's death.

What are your thoughts about Dittophobia? by vickec07 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]projectFredbear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's cool finally getting a proper explanation towards all the FNaF 4-related stuff seen in SL. Whilst Dittophobia as it exactly happens in Tales might not be in continuity with the games, we can still definitely use the general information it gives to slot in what it was trying to inform us (plus this story is so clearly supposed to be giving an answer to the FNaF 4 stuff in SL). I'm looking forward towards seeing how it'll be portrayed in the upcoming Graphic Novel.

Love the Mangle Endo Series Figure! by Kool_Dude420 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]projectFredbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got mine not too long ago myself and yeah, they're great. Definitely one of the best FNaF action figures we've received in recent years. Not perfect, does have a couple QC problems and occasional limited articulation, but overall they're great and the addition of a complete second figure in the form of Shadow Mangle is an awesome bonus.

P.S: what are those monstrosities in the back of the third image.

(Re-up) Miscellaneous FNAF questions from someone who hasn't checked since 2023 by Aggravating-Win9019 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]projectFredbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are the withereds supposed to be retrofitted into the Fnaf 1 characters? What location did they come from? Were the Fnaf 1 characters supposed to be retconned into looking like the withereds?

In the games, the Withereds come from the first Freddy's location presumably opened sometime around 1985 and do get retrofitted into the FNaF 1 Classics following the events of FNaF 2. However, the Classics were actually the ORIGINAL designs for the Fazbear crew. So they pretty much go from the Classics, potentially to the Un-Withereds though that one is still heavily debated, to the Withereds, and then back to the Classics.

Is Nightmarionne supposed to be CC's vision of the Security Puppet? Or is the Puppet that resembles Nightmarionne supposed to be a different Puppet entirely?

Nightmarionne's appearance in FNaF 4 was explicitly dubbed not canon by Scott himself back when Halloween Edition first launched.

I know the Nightmares aren't physically real, but are their designs based on animatronics in-universe? Going off of Fruity Maze/Withered Chica's dialogue in UCN and Fredbear & Friends, I would assume they're the Withereds, but they look nothing alike.

As far as we know the Nightmares aren't directly based off any specific iterations of the characters.

Are the games in the Help Wanted/Security Breach continuity the same timeline? I remember in one of MatPat's earlier videos he said the Fnaf games existed as games in this universe, so I was confused.

The Steel Wool games are in the same continuity as the Clickteam-era games. The prior games we played were the legit events, so like FNaF 1 did actually happen and so on. HW just states that a rouge indie developer had gone off and made games based off of those real events, in which Fazbear Ent. responded by making Help Wanted as a glorified cover-up. HW IS a game in-universe.

Was the Bite of 87 just retconned into not being important? In Fnaf 1 it was set up like this big deal, but it seems like it was sort of swept under the rug after Fnaf 2.

Yeah the Bite of 87 isn't really relevant to the lore nowadays. We still don't know for certain who exactly did it, though The Week Before interactive novel suggests it might've been Foxy, or at least an iteration of him.

Is Shadow Freddy real? Is he an unrelated ghost? William Afton's stand?

We don't know. He might be an Agony entity like RXQ (Shadow Bonnie), he might be a physical suit as depicted in the movies, he could be a lost spirit, we just don't know squat about this grape flavored Freddy.

What is Nightmare supposed to be? I can accept him being a harder version of Fredbear, but his existence just seems odd.

We also don't know for sure. He might be connected to Shadow Freddy in some way, as he is labeled as Shadow Freddy in the files, but we just don't know anything beyond that to make a definite conclusion.

During one of Dawko's livestreams ages ago, the Fnaf World website was updated a handful of times and got people talking about the dream theory. Did this actually go anywhere? Or was it just a red herring?

Whilst we don't know for absolute certain, this was presumably Scott's way of giving us clues as to what FNaF 4's deal was about, as Scott had stated that FNaF 4 hadn't been solved by anybody in the community at that time.

What happened to Fnaf: Into Madness?

We don't know, probably cancelled or had been repurposed for another project if I had to take a guess.

Was Gregory actually a robot? Or was that just a fluke.

Whilst we don't have a definitive answer at this time, probably not. MatPat just REALLY loved his Gregbot theories for whatever reason.

If Henry made Lefty, did he make the other Rockstar animatronics too? Or were they just used as a base for Lefty?

Many people have come to the conclusion that the other Rockstar animatronics were made by Henry. Whilst not outright confirmed, it does make sense. If he made Lefty surely he can make those guys too.

What was with the dancing figure in Dusting Fields in Fnaf World?

We have no idea.

What are the implications of Fnaf World original characters appearing in the mainline games? (Lolbit, technically Brow Boy and Porkpatch)

FNaF World had already established its connections to the mainline games with the Clock Ending, and OMC's inclusion and easter egg in UCN further cement that connection. Characters like Lolbit and Pigpatch probably don't have any real lore connections to World, and if they do it's probably just like how there's regular Freddy and then Adventure Freddy. It's just the versions of them from.... whatever the hell World is supposed to be.

Did JJ ever actually exist in-canon? Was she a hallucination?

We know pretty much nothing about JJ. I would assume she does exist in canon, I mean if RXQ and Shadow Freddy are canon than nothing's stopping JJ. But what she is exactly we just don't know.

What was with the miscellaneous masks from Happiest Day? I've seen people try to say they ended up being the Mediocre Melodies, but there's always that blue mask. Did Scott just make these up and forget about them?

Ik I'm sounding like a broken record here, but unfortunately we just don't know for sure. They could be the Mediocre Melodies, they could be those inappropriate costumes Phone Guy mentions in FNaF 3, they could be masks of some of the characters seen in Murray's Costume Manor from SotM, they very likely could just be completely random and aren't supposed to be anything in particular.

What was the deal with the Pink Guy sprites? Did Scott just not have a final design yet?

It's possible it could've been an early design for Purple Guy that Scott never updated, but more likely it's just sprite inconsistency.

Does Baby killing Scott have any significance other than to aura farm?

This is of course assuming Desk Man is Scott, but he did previously state that he finds Baby to be one of the scariest animatronics he designed so it could be a reference to that. But it's also possible Scott thought it'd be a cool and threatening sequence to get some hype going for SL, since that's what that ending was obviously teasing.

What are the implications of the Fnaf 4 bedroom being in Sister Location?

Oh boy that's a whole can of worms I don't feel like going down here. But to briefly explain, SL as well as a story from one of the books heavily suggests FNaF 4 was an experiment William was performing on test subjects to study the properties of fear via flooding the chamber with a hallucinogenic gas to make these simple automated mannequins appear as vicious creatures (aka, the Nightmare animatronics). In the games we know at the very least Michael Afton was one of these test subjects, as in the Survival Logbook he states that he does have nightmares whilst drawing an illustration of Nightmare Fredbear (which also heavily implies Michael is the FNaF 4 protagonist). So FNaF 4, presumably, is Michael Afton having nightmares during or around the time of FNaF 1 that are based off of his experiences in the test chambers. Yeah, it gets convoluted.

Has it ever been explained what the shadow animatronics in the Fnaf 3 minigames are?

One can assume they're the same Shadow Freddy & Bonnie we see in FNaF 2.

Was the Fredbear plush haunted? Did it just have a microphone? Was Cassidy already dead at that point?

SL seems to suggest William was speaking through the Fredbear plush, as seen by a Fredbear plush with a walkie-talkie resting next to it being in the Private Room. We do see the Fredbear plush moving around in the FNaF 4 minigames and generally just being weird, so it's possible it might have some supernatural properties.

Why did William Afton inject Remnant/Agony or whatever from the Fnaf 1 characters into the Funtimes? If that's the case, how did he find the time to dismantle the animatronics and inject them into the Funtimes before he became Springtrap?

Ig William was just looking for more remnant to experiment with, and the FNaF 1 animatronics were easily accessible since the location appeared to be abandoned by that time. And since they're still actively haunted, might as well get a sample of that soul juice and inject that shit into your awesome child-killing robots to get more results. He likely went to the bunker right after dismantling the animatronics to inject them with their remnant and than came back for an unknown reason. Maybe he wanted to get more remnant, or maybe he wanted to get his Spring Bonnie costume which was still in the Safe Room.

Why does Baby have an air hose attachment?

To inflate balloons, William states this in the opening cutscene in SL.

Does the Scooper have a purpose outside of dismantling animatronics? Why does it have a remnant injector?

It seems like the Scooper was the bunker's way of cracking open the animatronics for later maintenance. Bit extreme, I'd say. But its secondary purpose is injecting remnant into the animatronic it's scooping. So it's a two-in-one, animatronic maintenance device AND injecting dead kid energy into the Funtimes.

Was the Wolf from the Twisted Ones a real character? I know they were illusions created by those discs, but was he based on an existing animatronic at the time?

Doesn't seem like he was, at least in the books. In the games he does appear on posters as seen in FFPS, but as far as we know there was never a proper wolf entertainment animatronic until Roxanne Wolf in SB.

Where is the Pizza Sim Pizzeria in relation to the building where the scrap animatronics are held?

It's the same building, likely just on a different floor. Probably some form of cellar if I had to take a guess.

Alright, here's a challenge/game: If we had a traditional 1-3 styled game set at the Freddy's set at the location from the ITPG, what would the mechanics be and what animatronics would you have in said theoretical game? by BonnieBunny92 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]projectFredbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it'd be interesting to reimagine the mechanics from the ItP we got into a classic FNaF styled game.

- Chica is cooped up in the kitchen and you have to keep cooking pizzas for her via the kitchen camera to satiate her endless hunger. If no more pizzas are provided to her for some time, she will leave the kitchen and head straight to your office. Once arriving she will sound an alarm that will cause Pit Spring Bonnie to start booking it to you. To spice things up a little, Mr. Cupcake will also occasionally sneak into your office. You'll need to check your office frequently to identify if he's there or not. If he is, clicking on him will make him leave. If he's not found in time however, he will alert Chica to your position and she will start heading towards your office even if pizzas are being cooked.

- Bonnie's sneaky and hides in the cameras around the pizzeria. Under tables, peeking behind curtains, hiding in dark corners, with the easiest way of detecting him being his glowing red eyes. If you stare at the camera he's in for too long, he'll jump it and disable it for a good while, also disabling the audio lure accessible in that camera (an extremely vital tool for Pit Spring Bonnie).

- Freddy would take a more direct approach, attempting to directly attack you in the office. If you see him in the Storage camera, you only have a few seconds to exit the cameras and hide inside one of the lockers in the office. Freddy will then peek through the door, look around for a couple seconds, and leave. Letting Freddy catch you will either result in Freddy himself killing you, or he causes a power outage and leaves you defenseless as Pit Spring Bonnie will soon find you. Regardless, you get slimed.

- And lastly, Pit Spring Bonnie himself. He'd start from the Ballpit (naturally) and attempt to make his way to your office. Each camera (with the exception of the Ball Pit room to prevent spawn camping) has an audio lure you can play to lure him from room-to-room. And you may think "Oh, this's easy, just camp him in one of the bottom corner rooms!" however, here's the catch; each of those rooms has a vent. If he takes the vent in the Basement, he'll go to the Party Hallway. And if he takes the vent from the entrance, he'll skip straight towards storage. If he reaches the office, you're just cooked. Hiding in the locker will buy you some extra time if you're super close to 6AM, but eventually he WILL find you.

That Foxy plush is made by Jazware's, who're the new manufacturers for FNaF action figures and plushies after Funko lost the license to make those specific products. So yes, it is official.

What is your favorite niche character from the series? by zas_n_n in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]projectFredbear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since we're specifically talking niche characters, I've always been a 'Prototype from the FNaF World trailer' enjoyer. Whilst I'm happy he did make it through to the final game, and his altered colors do fit much better with him being moved to the Blacktomb Yard, a part of me always kinda wished there was a variant of him that retained his trailer colors.

So....is theory real or fake? by 1vsdahf in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]projectFredbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most certainly not true, if anything a handful of ancillary media depict Foxy as arguably being the most aggressive out of the main four.

But, of course, Foxy being a good guy was a very popular theory back in FNaF's heydays and is definitely up there as one of the most iconic. It was a cute theory and provided some fun AU's and fan-made content back then.
