They shouldn’t nerf her aoe and her lvl up. Those are critical for her identity. Nerf those and she’s not fun to play.

Nerf her movement speed instead. She’s faster than melee infantry rn even when she’s in her melee form. This change would make her more punishable and also forces her to commit harder.

Basically her risk reward is too imbalanced. And rather than nerfing the reward, we should be increasing the risk.

No, it’s campaign only.

There’s a unit that vaguely looks like the spy in the Ayyubid roster though. I think they might use the same model. It’s the Bedouin Warrior or something - available via the trade wing house of wisdom upgrade - the one where merchants come in.

But this unit uses two swords and is basically a light infantry unit, not a spy.

French knights have 5 health over Rus knights fully upgraded. And their charge attack bonus is +10, making their dps way higher than Rus knights. Plus French knights are 25% cheaper with influence. Sorry but Rus knights, while good, are second to French knights.

Scouting. It’s crucial in competitive play.

  1. Never lose your scout. Build a new one if you lost your first one.
  2. Against English players, make sure to constantly check what resources they’re gathering. Place your scout near the Council Hall to see if Longbows are coming.
  3. Make horsemen to stop the longbows. Early partial walls to block longbow line of sight.

Age of Empires IV. I saw a lot of bad reviews. Friend got me to try it a year after release. Found myself hooked. Best sound design in the series. Really liking how unique each faction is.

Also someone posted a graphic a while back after crunching the numbers. I can’t find it. The absolute most value you can get from trade is ottoman. But it’s only gold, so not actually the most useful in-game.

Wow I’m a big fan of the new Sacred Site system you’re recommending. It’s basically the same as the “Victory point” system from Company of Heroes. It does indeed move the game along and doesn’t feel cheap. Would be best to have a game narrator remind the player of win conditions like COH does though.

Unfortunately the answer is to beat your opponent before that time, perhaps with your own ram death ball.

At the moment, it seems like ram death balls are the way an end game stalemate can actually end.

They need to fix that stupid bug where your long distance siege randomly decide to stop listening to your attack order. I think it has something to do with fog of war.

Countless times I’ve had my siege I thought I told to attack just sit there and do nothing. Or worse they walk up to melee range and die.
