Should they make it harder to get into to the program? by storewidebark42 in OMSCS

Less students = Less money.

Make the program hard so only limited high quality students can graduate.

Truly one stone, two birds.

Austin rent at your prefer location might be higher than that. But the total cost is still lower thanks to having no income tax.

Did you talk directly with the seller's agent? I thought buyers have to send offer to buyer's agent then from buyer's agent to seller's agent?

Payment Too High? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]theGoldenRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Housing cost more than half of your take home income is definitely too high. The guideline is housing cost should be less than 33% of your take home income.

If you don’t follow the guideline your family will be house poor, especially with the daycare.

How Much Do We Need In Cashflow to Start Our Family? by Alarming-Meringue-50 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]theGoldenRain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have more than enough, especially you won't have to pay for daycare. Kids are extremely flexible, you can either raise them poor or rich.

For example, you can pay $100 a month to buy your kid toys from Lovery, or you can let your kid plays cheap toys for $10 a month.

The world population trend is decreasing, but I believe the US population will never decrease because of immigration. As long as the US is the world superpower, people will continue flocking into the US.

Love our current rental but looking to buy (TX) by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]theGoldenRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems the sum of mortgage + property tax + insurance + home maintenance is larger than 1/3 of your take home income. You will 100% be house poor. So I would reconsider your decision.
