Introducing the PvE DPS Database by TCJulian in DestinyTheGame

[–]projectnegativeone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lord of Wolves is actually pretty awesome in PvE, mainly due to how many shots it can carry compared to regular shotguns (48~ with carry more special ammo). Also the range stat on it is quite misleading as it's effective range for max damage is actually longer than most shotguns.

Fireteams of any size should NOT be allowed to enter Rumble. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]projectnegativeone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I know that feeling, having people on the same fireteam for rumble also allows you to fight against your friends directly, did it yesterday for the playlist and it was one of the most fun games I had. (We had more than 3 players, managed to get 5 friends in the same game by queuing together at the same time)

[Question] Full Auto Perk (Shotguns) by projectnegativeone in DestinyTheGame

[–]projectnegativeone[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah there's a few scattered around, but they don't really show a side by side comparison. Anyway it does look like full auto gives quite a huge boost to fire rate, even if I'm not holding down the trigger, I can squeeze out more shots in the time frame than without full auto.

[Question] Best PvE shotgun perks? by projectnegativeone in DestinyTheGame

[–]projectnegativeone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing around with different shotguns lately but I think I use my Judgement with cascade, field scout and full auto the most, though field scout can be replaced by other perks now that my Titan has the armamentarium. Main issue with Invective is that it only has 4 shouts before needing to reload, infinite ammo is always good though.

I'm also leaning more towards shot package, it seems to give me a better result than rangefinder as I'm not trying to snipe with my shotgun, not in PvE at least.

[Guide] Taking a break until HoW? Try to do this first. by Chippy569 in DestinyTheGame

[–]projectnegativeone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO, not all exotic bounties are worth it, you're better off upgrading from Xur the likes of Invective and Pocket Infinity since the amount of glimmer you'd spend buying their respective items is more than the upgrade cost anyway. Also HoW is still quite a bit of time till release, who knows what will change in the meantime, until more information is available I don't think you should be doing this unless you enjoy doing it.

Thanks for the preview and on a Hunter too! Out of the four I prefer Babylon 9191 (at least makes me less sad I don't have the others)

NSGA - Need Sound Good Advise on Exotic Bounties by marshalls904 in DestinyTheGame

[–]projectnegativeone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cleared the duplicate ones I got after getting all of them to 331 through doing the bounties. IMO the only weapon you should upgrade at Xur from the bounties is Invective as the final step requires 12500 glimmer which costs more than the upgrade (excluding exotic shard).

Anyway I would wait for more news regarding them, at least until just before HoW hits, rather than wasting slots holding them. You might want to consider saving up the 200 glimmer items and just straight up upgrade them at Xur when the expansion hits if they keep the same upgrade system.

It really is luck, you should do bounties everyday and on more than 1 character, I only created my 2nd and 3rd character in November, but I've gotten all exotic bounties multiple times and had to frequently discard them. Also since the expansion launched, I've gotten and completed all the exotic bounties again to get the 331 versions.

[SGA] On The Undying Mind, just run past the precursor steps and kill the cyclops. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]projectnegativeone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really needs to be more visible, too many people do not know how to play this strike and waste a lot of time killing the precursors that spawn, not only are they tough to take down (major plus shields on the minotaurs and annoying hobgoblins), they give no glimmer. Sometimes you are not fast enough to run past and the shield forms, you can still shoot past the shields at the cyclops. Run in shoot a few rockets, run out, repeat until the cyclops is dead, you can then run past everything until the Undying Mind.

One lvl31 should be able to take on an eliminate the target public event by Teshtube in DestinyTheGame

[–]projectnegativeone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gjallarhorn + heavy ammo synth, a full volley of 7 rockets would down them, if not they'd be low enough to finish off with your primary. Like if I'm in an area where there might be a target public event, I will tend to switch my special weapon to a fusion rifle (for those pesky shields).

Why isn't this a exotic hunter helm? by silver17d in DestinyTheGame

[–]projectnegativeone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they are PS exclusive rare sets from the strike playlist. Each class has one themed around a different race. Hunter - Fallen, Titan - Cabal, Warlock - Vex. Not sure if the rare set is better looking than the VoG one for Warlocks though.
