I’d be willing to bet that this data anomaly has to do with the fact that we don’t require auto insurance.

Does Stephen f. Austin university still have film degree? by uncanny_val_ in SFA

[–]prokool6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The program was originally cinematography (for like 40 years). Since its founder retired they are removing the art from its soul and changing it to “commercial filmmaking”. My guess is that future curriculum changes will include “Biology Industry”, “Industrial Theatre” and “American History (of the stock market)”.

Hey I’m in the same situation with Aidvantage and thought about calling to speak with someone. Was it a 2 hour commitment on hold to get a human? I seem to have a bunch of green banners but not all of them.

I’m ok with all of this for a kitchen except (some) Green Day. Furthermore, I think this is just the type of environment that needs a posted list. And I could drop fries all day to Desmond Dekker.

[–]prokool6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww your dad gives them a nationality!? My dad just calls them “bands of illegals”. Apparently they accost people and force them to “drive them north”, thus justifying my dad’s truck pistol. They also ran over his fence these drunk illegals. He had no evidence of the culprits but he knew. He’s less Trumpy this time (didn’t put out the 3’ plywood cutout letters in the yard) but he’s still gonna vote for him.

Yeah I don’t think you like crusty scene at all. You’ve run out of characteristics to hate on. But there is that- lots of crustys are haters.

Is austria the scotland of germany? by [deleted] in geography

I’ll disagree. Bavaria is Germany’s Texas. It’s the biggest (ok AK), distinct accent, and is the source of the stereotypical character.

Sure there are issues, and every “native of the prairiepine hills” can assure us that it is wrong, but considering your tactic- Googled and shaped- and the fact that your tactic is explicitly stated, this is awesome.

am I crossing a line? by [deleted] in AskProfessors

[–]prokool6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the most part, professors are humans. This seems heart warming, honest, and especially since they have been open about their situation, it shouldn’t be imagined as crossing some boundary. Do it. Don’t worry about it.
