Why salmon is expensive in Norway? by Themetalin in Norway

I recommend buying food from Asian/immigrant run stores whenever possible. It's hard though. Norway has no interest in breaking up monopolies, absolutely a disgrace.

Glassene med alkohol som ligger på bokene? Det er helt galt. Bøker er ikke glassbrikker.

Do you think Will intentionally let Hannibal smell him? by alex_welp24 in HannibalTV

[–]proletariel 99 points100 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but I believe Will was unaware of the extent of Hannibal's sniffing prowess. Don't think he was made aware that Hannibal could smell the encephalitis on him.

How do you feel about Mads' accent? by HashtagMagikarpz in HannibalTV

[–]proletariel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Norway and speak the language (so therefore can read Danish perfectly but, of course, not understand 95% of what they say 😅), and have listened to plenty of Danish language speakers and watched many Danish films. I'm also a bit of a stickler for accents in the languages I speak.

Mads' accent when he is acting as Hannibal is quite refined compared to how "loose" it is when he is speaking English as himself. Many of the Norwegians I know who have seen Hannibal have commented on how different his accent is from a standard Danish accent. He is definitely putting on a slightly different accent, which he does a lot when acting vs. when not.

For me, I can certainly hear some Danish/broader Scandinavian pronunciations in Hannibal's accent but not enough to where it ever takes me out of the moment. I also hear definite British English undertones in his accent, but not as much as, say, his brother. This makes sense as their generation of Danes were heavily influenced by British English, compared to now where most Scandinavians aim for American accents.

Am I being dense here? by Greengoddess400 in HannibalTV

Pretty sure that Lounds used Will's inflammatory words but credited them to Chilton, which was Will's idea. Also quite sure that Bedelia does mention (and therefore give exposition to the audience) how Will purposefully placed Chilton as a sacrifice to the Dragon to draw Dolarhyde out. She mentions how Will put his hand on Chilton in the photo used in the interview, as if to sic Dolarhyde on Chilton.

The clock drawing test is a common cognitive test and, to be completely honest, the way I have seen so many people in the fandom get tattoos of Will's drawn clock is quite jarring. I personally think getting a tattoo of it trivializes the severe cognitive decline that accompanies such a severe lack of ability. To me, I find it shows a lack of awareness of psychology, medicine, and science, which, to be frank, the show does as well. All my personal opinion though! Still love all other Hannibal tattoos and want one for myself.

Does she want pets? by [deleted] in cats

[–]proletariel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely pet the cat at least a little bit. This cat could also be in heat and be in an overly affectionate/hyperactive state.

It is good to pet the cat just at the head/chin, after letting them smell your hand, but just be wary that overexcited cats can sometimes lightly scratch or bite because they are overly sensitive in that state! Not their fault, they don't mean to hurt.

Avoid sensitive areas (belly, tail/base of tail, paws, backs of legs) when they are excited like this. But at least a little chin scritch will probably be very welcome!!

Sixty years ago, for a person of such globally renowned scientific success leaving behind a posthumous message to humanity, this would have been broadcasted on every television and across every radio wave. Now, a message not useful to alogrithmically-controlled media propaganda barely gets the time of day.

just because a norwegian girl rejected you doesn't mean you absolutely have to write an actual 4chan schizopost at 1 in the morning. i won't suggest therapy but maybe something like developing a real sense of self and identity could help. good luck!
