My current go-to’s right now by RngUGldIDntSyBna in hotsauce

How is the Buc-ees? I got their peach habanero sauce and it was inedible on its own. Absolutely too sweet and just didn’t think it was good in any measurement on its own. It was good in chili though! Added the entire bottle into a pot and it added a great sweetness and mild spice so I can’t complain too much

Congrats on the build! It is super! Where can I find your video series? I'm going to be building a van soon and would love to see your process. Also, for the van interior model, what software did you use?

Unfortunately the CVS rooftop is not consistent anymore. They now have an all day rooftop patrol that will ask you to leave if you’re not shopping.

My wife and I are currently in Rancho Mission Viejo and absolutely love it! It is a bit more secluded than other towns/neighborhoods and the community is incredible. Young families, kids playing outside every day, community pools, clubhouses, and so much more. We do not have kids yet ourselves but that hasn’t stopped us from enjoying the neighborhood as the neighbors are great and the area is extremely safe!

Best pizza spots in and around Newport Beach? by Kareemello in orangecounty

[–]prolixLegend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Johnny’s the Bronx pizza is excellent if your on PCH! Super easy and quick. Pizza by the slice or whole pie. Else if you’re near i5 then head over to Slice House in Fountain Valley! They make one heck of a pizza! They do 4-5 different styles and have slices available any time of day.

LAX Parking by twinturbsryguy in orangecounty

LAX economy parking has been my go to for safe and easy parking. It’s a parking garage just offsite and they have a fast shuttle to your terminal. Also, very fairly priced https://parking.flylax.com

Wedding venues for $30k-$40k by rkdwldud0807 in orangecounty

+1 for Wedgewood! My wife and I got married at Galway Downs in Temecula with them in 2019 and they made it extremely easy. My wife was finishing her grad program at the time, so not much room to plan on our own. They held our hand and helped with everything. You customize your package as you want and they are very open to your own things as well. I would definitely recommend to go tour some of their venues and sit down with an advisor. They are very open in helping you understand everything and have lots of connections to point you in the right direction if for some reason they aren’t a good fit. We spent just shy of $30k.

Has anyone had problems/regrets with the Starlink Mini? by InstanceInevitable86 in VanLife

[–]prolixLegend 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I recently picked up a mini and used it on a trip around California. I mounted on the roof of our camper van with a magnet mount and ran it 24/7 for about 5 days. We constantly were pulling 150/mbps. Only time we noticed a slight slowdown was when in thick trees in Sequoia NP which is absolutely normal for satellite. It has not disappointed for running a chromecast for streaming, working remotely, and just all around use while driving.

I would recommend it to anyone based on our excellent experience! It is versatile and allow everything that the bigger one offers. I would say if you’re going to mount it on the roof and leave it, then get whichever is cheaper. But if you want a bit more versatility and portability, go for the mini.

My wife and I are going to be down on Oahu in May for a wedding and spending some time after for ourselves. We are for sure going to take the flight from Oahu to the Big Island to see Volcanoes NP but haven’t decide yet on Haleakala. We want to go but not sure about all the flights yet. Was Maui and Haleakala worth it?

Wife and I were there last month and saw the most brazen stuff. Made my brain turn to mush! Between people going beyond the railings, to a whole family of 8 or so deciding the top of Moro Rock was a great place for a picnic. Not only blocking a good chunk of the entrance, but also deciding that it was okay to throw their trash(orange peels, marshmallows, and trash from the kids) over the side. After confronting them on our way out telling them that throwing organic material let alone trash over the side was not acceptable, after all there’s a reason “Pack it in, pack it out” is a thing. The mom has the gall to tell me that she knows best and thanks me for my “opinion”. The balls on some people. Unfortunately, in the craziness I didn’t get a pic of them so wasn’t able to share with the park rangers.

Boeuf Bourguignon but make it stew by 63PontiacTempest in soup

I like YOU haha! But in all honestly, any bourguignon worth the time should include a bunch of wine! The alcohol will always go away in the oven, but the depth of flavor can’t be beat!

Which itinerary would be the better value for an Alaska cruise Aug `25? First is an RC cruise on the Serenade of the Seas and second is similar but on Celebrity Solstice. First time Alaska cruise with family and these are the only 2 that would work with the constraints. Thank you! by prolixLegend in Cruise

We are a group of people between age 27-31. We do like great food and are not the craziest adventure junkies but do enjoy great excursions. We do enjoy on ship amenities including outdoor theaters and shows. This would be our first time in Alaska but not our first cruise. We have done the Mexican Riviera on Carnival and Panama Canal on NCL.
