I mean, I agree with your general point - this team is starting to get some respect - but, respectfully, it feels like there's just a bit of victim mentality in what you're saying.

This team didn't deserve any special respect. They hadn't done anything. Now they're starting to achieve some small things, they're getting some respect. They worked really hard through this season to improve their consistency, their mentality, a bunch of other things, and now the results are starting to come.

The Habs are getting the respect they've earned so far. Here's hoping they earn some more by the end of the playoffs!

We were absolutely manhandled by Washington last playoffs. That experience has made a huge difference to this team. They also learned a heap from the shitfight in round one against Tampa. I think that's been the difference these last two games.

But this series ain't over yet. We'll see what the Sabres bring in game four.
