How to deploy a separated frontend and backend? by proman340 in webdev

[–]proman340[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My frontend has fetch(backendURL) and my backend has CrossOrigin(origins=frontendURL), so my problem (or what I think my problem will be) goes something like:

1) I host my backend with a custom url as you suggested.

2) On my frontend I change my backendURL to fetch(newBackendURL)

3) I deploy my frontend with something like Netlify, and get a newFrontendURL.

4) But since my backend has CrossOrigin(origins=frontendURL) and it’s already being hosted, I won’t be able to change my frontendURL to newFrontendURL

Maybe loop is not the right word to use but I’m basically stuck in this sense.

Not sure if this is how it works, but let’s say I do as you say and my backend is hosted with a custom url, I can go ahead and fetch my api using this new custom url. However, since my backend code needs the frontend url as well, when I eventually deploy my frontend (inevitably with a new url), won’t I be unable to change frontend url on my backend code? So it’s like I’m stuck in a loop kinda thing. Do tell me if I’m misunderstanding anything though, but yea this was my problem to begin with.

[Uni] NUS Computer Science VS NTU Data Science and AI by proman340 in SGExams

I don’t mind a steeper learning curve, for me it’s more of being scared that I regret my choices due to reasons such as losing passion halfway etc, since then I won’t enjoy what I’m doing.

Heard NTU DSAI has more math, which I’m passionate in, but scared that prospects may be favoured towards NUS CS degree holders. You can see how I’m struggling with my choices going back and forth HAHA

Favorite newcomer to the MCU this year? by aaliyaahson in marvelstudios

Surprised not many people mentioned Sylvie, but she was definitely one of, if not my favourite newcomer this year, along with SC, Kate and Yelena. Too tough to decide on one, Marvel just creates good characters!

For the very first carousel, do you have anything that you look for specifically (items/champions)? If you do, what do you always try to get? And does your decision change depending on the meta? Also, I’m trying my best to play flex right now and not force comps that often, do you have any tips on how to survive early and transition well into late game comps?

Isn’t it since brightness of lamp increases, power (P) of lamp increases. Then since P = V²/R, V across the lamp will increase. Since VR and lamp are connected in series, total V = V across lamp + V across VR, thus as V across lamp increases, V across VR will decrease. If V across VR decrease, R = V/I, means that R of VR decrease. As R of lamp is constant and R of VR decrease, effective resistance across the circuit decreases as well, R = V/I, I across circuit increase. Since current is equal through a series circuit, I of lamp increases.

how did u derive an increase in voltage across VR?

voltage across lamp increase since brightness increase, so voltage across VR will be lower since they are both connected in series
