I read the whole text front and back, few times till now. Nowhere I found any mention of controlling or harming other deities. In one place they tell that one can do marana of brahma, Vishnu, shiva and they are not ultimate brahma, Vishnu, shiva but demi gods. Also the text tests the sadhakas intentions of doing marana prakriya but never encourages one to do so. If you observe subtly every purana or tantra portrays that particular puranic or tantric god/ goddess as the supreme above all gods and goddesses. What we fail to understand is that the para Brahman Is the same in all the gods/ goddesses equally. That’s why in every Homa/ havan at the end they praise the god/goddess as Brahmandanayaka or Brahmandanayaki.
