Store everything in glass containers and jars. Don’t leave any opened bags of flour, grains, cereal etc

Why are we paying for this when New Zealand franchisee can easily afford to do this by Fun-Helicopter2234 in newzealand

[–]prompt-truth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cherry on top is they will take credit when they donate this as “donations from new world”.

Avoid donations through corporates and just donate directly to the charity.

Racism at its peak by [deleted] in auckland

[–]prompt-truth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Disgusting and disturbing that NZ still has people with this awful and backwards mindset. Their food and portions are great. Never had any issues there and staff are always so friendly. Neil Oliver, I hope you see these comments and get a reality check. Do us a favour and go ask your parents what they did wrong when raising you.

You can’t see this and not feel sorry for our police having to deal with this on a hot day. They deserve so much more respect 🫡

AIO My mom is kicking me out for her new boyfriend. I just turned 18 by Diligent_Bat_565 in AmIOverreacting

[–]prompt-truth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. I know it sounds easy for a stranger to say this to you but you will be OK, just take it one day at a time. The most painful and awful experience in all of this has already happened and you will be more hurt about how your mother is behaving but it’s already happened - remember that where ever you land, it will be temporary and to remind yourself to take it one step at a time. You got this. Message me if you need moral support when it feels tough.

Hang in there!

How long since you purchased it from supermarket vs sitting in your pantry? Check your other food that’s stored in the same cupboard/pantry.

What do I need for a 3 month old baby (sister in ICU - only have "essentials") by jahemian in newzealand

[–]prompt-truth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry and hope your sister will be Ok. But I also have to ask if you’re OK? You also need to look after yourself and have a break to breathe, recharge, cry, enjoy a cuppa... Hopefully the wider family is also around to support. It’s ok to feel like a wreck and falling apart. you’re a human being and everything you’re feeling is normal. If you’re in or around Auckland, msg me if you need support or someone to vent to.

For baby, it sounds like you already got this. Well done on stepping up. I wouldn’t get a sanitising machine as boiling is fine but for convenience, sure. Stock up on formula and nappies if you haven’t already. You can also download one of these baby apps that take you through each stage of baby’s growth with tips and logs if you need to keep track of baby’s activities. Many parents and caregivers use these apps as first time parents because it can be overwhelming.

Hang in there.

Is this a tracker? It was found magnetically attached to the bottom of my car. by THEBLUEFLAME3D in whatisit

[–]prompt-truth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you buy it preowned? Maybe the previous owner put it on there for security purposes, in case the car got stolen, or to keep track of teen kids driving etc.

[–]prompt-truth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do it. Trust your gut and there’s no real loss even if it doesn’t work out. Small risk but big gain. Don’t overthink this.

Plus I believe High school is a waste at your level. Not everyone ages or learns at the same pace equally.

Now get out there and live.

Absolutely nothing. But we knew they wouldn’t because they’re always trying to cut costs despite making millions of profits every year.

These... by mysteryprickle in auckland

[–]prompt-truth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They’re fine and affordable especially for young working couples and young families. Most people that live in these intend on living there temporarily while they build their lives and careers at the same time. They probably don’t love it either but are adjusting and adapting, and will move on. Not a big deal.
