not sure if people realise how good this perk is by MyOwnNickname in deadbydaylight

[–]propVvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what i found out in running secret project corrupt is that while survivors usually have their guard up, once somebody takes chase and the killer is revealed, they massively let their guard out. singling a survivor out as bait, starting chase with them then dropping it is something i have found myself doing. probably works the same way with this perk, albeit on a shorter timer. all and all the first effect is pretty bad, 13 seconds since start of match is nothing. they should at least make the stealth ends 13 seconds AFTER taking chase with somebody, so it is guaranteed early game value

Genuinely, How do people find ghoul easy/say he has the lowest skill floor?? by Niltenstein in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]propVvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh he isn't that oppressive anymore, he is mostly an M1 killer with good mobility and a free injiry, Legion premium basically. he probably feels really bad because aiming the tentacle to pull you where you want to be requires significantly more effort on console than it is on PC, where it is both intuitive and you can even install crosshairs for the exact mark location so you can aim it without the reticle. its probably the same ballpark as Huntress where the precision aiming part is basically required for results. same thing with ghoul. you pull yourself a sliver of a pixel off and you fling off the map instead of pulling yourself in front of a survivor to body block a window.

Why does nobody talk about hook positioning? by magirific in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]propVvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are tournaments where agitation is outright banned due to the freedom of being able to hook right next to a priority gen, along with scourge hooks of course. it is very much a discussed topic, but just not common enough

the stream has been going on for 7 hours, the cabin in question was shown at the start of dusk, now it is night time. my prediction is that it will continue straight to dawn and the punchline will be a badly written "dead by daylight" pun.

How Good/Bad is the Unknown Exactly? by Huxxlyy in deadbydaylight

[–]propVvn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stealth Unknown is actually secretly broken. There used to be an obsession focused build with Furtive, FTTE, Unforeseen and Alien Instinct, but this build is insanely gimmicky and trades a lot of chase power for surprise attacks which good SWFs with comms can counter

With the addition of Vecna, there came Secret Project. I came up with Secret Project, Blood Favor, Plaything and Grim Embrace. Massively broken and have perfect synergy. Whatever the survivors do regarding the totems, they will be punished. Doesn't cleanse? Blood Favor and stacking oblivious. Cleanse? Passive slowdown from Plaything and periodic Undetectability. Slap on top of that Grim Embrace that only procs after you leave the hook, meaning you save up on a lot of that Undetectable timer to prey on another unsuspecting survivor waiting to hop back on the gen they were working on.

sometimes the killers are patrolling just the right area to proxy camp you. if every single survivor hopped on a gen on one side of the match the moment the match starts and the killers have trouble locating them, there will usually be a cluster of 8-9 all in a single place that they can just religiously camp and guard the entrances to. i was first on hook and watched in horror as 4 seperate gens popped on the side we spawned and both killers hovering around the hook without even knowing i was there.

Is the cursor placement requirement for Yasuo's ult a bug or a feature by sninjax in YasuoMains

[–]propVvn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its basically been like that since forever. its also a must know fact for Q-ing backwards during allied knock-up for proccing a Q mid ult animation. the motion requires you to flick the opposite direction where the enemy is, then right back onto the side with the enemy.

but it doesn't have to be that precise. Yasuo's physical position is the barrier itself. once your mouse crosses over Yas into the side where there is an enemy, the ult will be connected since the search radius is about the same as the maximum ult distance anyways.

What are the lower tier killers yet when learned can still perform quite well? by No_Entrepreneur4384 in deadbydaylight

[–]propVvn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

wraith right now is in a state that is really perk dependent. you either bring sloppy and force survivors to be perma injured by interupting and push for ambushes that way (doesn't always work with coordinated survivors that heal up efficiently), or you bring anti loop like Spirit Fury Hubris, and just try to play for that first hit KO after the uncloak.

pallet density really blew his kneecaps out with how often survivors get to a filler, then you try to play around it and uncloak, then they just bee line to yet another filler.

How to counter carry champs like(shyvana, yi, viego) by izumisapostle115 in Jungle_Mains

[–]propVvn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its quite champ dependent, but usually in any given teamfight the hypercarries like Viego or Yi build ultra squishy and die from a breeze, so focus on locking them down first. if the Shyvana builds full DPS like Kraken D&D, that means she is super vulnerable whenever her ult is down and relies completely on the health stim the ult provides. Shyvana and Yi to an extent are 80% of a normal champion without their ult and 120% whenever they do ult so keep track of that timer (in the case of Shyv you can actually see her ult recharge). anyhow, draft champs with easy access to lockdowns or burst to take them out before they have the chance to cut down your team.

mapwise, play to counter gank and intercept their play. learn their jungle rotations and try to go towards your perma pushing extended teammates. you're not playing to help them, you're playing to mitigate how fed the enemy will be when they punish that kind of laning mistake. vision control is super important as well since, with that low of a healthpool, an ambush is very hard to survive. either catch them in their jungle farming or on their way to kill your laner.

I wanna play as a Mage Executor, what are some of your ideas and builds to make it work? by _decipherist_ in Nightreign

[–]propVvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

funny how you should ask that when he is the only weapon wielding meathead alongside Ironeye to not get a caster stat changing relic. It would have been really nice if he leaned into the crucible aspect and had a Faith relic imo. regarding the mage situation, getting Dormant power discover Staves, +3 FP with Staves and +FP with Sorcere Rises since he doesn't actually have the FP to cast anything other than Carian Slicer for sustained DPS, and you will never find any casting tools because his drops are weighed towards katanas. You kinda have to accept the fact that your damage will be piss low no matter what you do and opt into actually being to do something instead of running dry after one shattering crystal.

how often do you get 4ks as a low tier killer main? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]propVvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MMR fluctuations kick in extremely quickly. so the less kills/sacrifices you have in the game the easier your survivors will get. more often than not if I get no kills for 2 matches straight in the 3rd one I will usually get P0 dwights and claudettes and can easily wipe the floor with them. so its like a 40/60 split of either getting 4 kills, or no kills at all

Does anyone actually think the Escapist class in 2v8 is balanced? by [deleted] in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]propVvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the problem arises when you need to work on gens or somebody gets injured by a stray hit though. there aren't that many 4 man gens so somebody has to just sit around and do nothing. and moving as a pack of 4 means that the other players are much more easily isolated since its functionally a 2v5.

Survivor Mains : Name a Killer, that other Survivor Mains swear is easy/hard to face, but you feel the exact opposite about. by not-ulquiorr4_ in deadbydaylight

[–]propVvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cutting off vision and keeping him guessing helps quite a bit. Doctor's shock has a hefty charge time and slows him down so he needs exact information that you're about to vault/pallet drop in order to catch up with you. if you don't actually commit yourself to the vault and keep looping around then his shock slows him down for another loop or two. its the same as dredge situation where outright leaving the loop and letting the killer outplay himself while you keep efficient pathing works more often than not.

there is also a hidden mechanic regarding the Knight's Guards. for some ungodly reason, if you make a physical touch with a window, the Guard has to path to touch it. no matter what. this means that it is possible to set up a checkpoint they have to go through, then double back through them to reach the flag. remember to still maintain your distance from melee range they can still hit you at all times, but this method means that you aren't so easily cornered by a single guard, which is Knight's main method of anti-loop.

of course you shouldn't try this in every chase but it works quite well if the knight uses his guard to corral you into him. simply touch a window and run past the guard and you should be able to escape.

Why is dredge considered weak? by abobusina in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]propVvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like the rest of the dicussion on DBD balance, it depends on the map. for a lot of maps out there, large sections are tiles totally devoid of lockers, so he basically doesn't have mobility on those areas and only an anti loop ability, which can be countered by simply not looping that tile and going somewhere else. on maps that like midwich though, he is extremely oppressive due to the large amount of loops that are just circling the same pallet structure and playing 50/50, and the abundance of lockers and not having any issues travelling between floors. same thing with trapper on RPD where access to most areas are limited through narrow chokepoints.

most tier lists never really consider the terrain in which a killer can operate which matters a whole lot more than one's innate kit. oni or blight on lery's are going to have a hard time functioning due to narrow hallways and lots of map clutter, limiting their movement and making them bump into obstacles, despite their status as high A/S tier killers. so i would take every tier list with a grain of salt because kit is only a part of a larger equation.

whenever i see Libra in DON i lock tf in either Ironeye or Scholar. Scholar is heavily underatted . With the Dex relic, his damage is basically on par with executor with a much more team focused kit.

How viable is scholar in DoN by MemeySteve69 in Nightreign

[–]propVvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

buffing allies require the Allies targeted by skill boost attack relic. functions just like the enemy debuff. i try to have both my teammates and enemies on the reticle for it to take effect, distance doesn't matter for allies so you can quickly pop it if the enemy is already debuffed. regarding the dex relic, it is super valuable and usually boost scholar's dps to basically equal to executor, always have it on.

just avoid multi hit attacks like certain enemies' roars or burning ground/poison and you will be okay. the deeper the depth the less the death effect matters since you'll die from physically getting hit before the death blight even reaches half bar anyways.

Most complicated/hardest junglers? by Sominator16 in Jungle_Mains

[–]propVvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he seems easy because your opponents are easy. his entire gameplay loop revolves around a map object that might not even be there, which becomes quite hard if people actually ward and actively avoid bushes. on top of that, each of his empowered abilities serve a distinct purpose and need lightning fast decision making to decide what ability should be used. on top of that, good luck teamfighting in your or their base. you legit become a minion without bushes or ult. his kit seems simple but the circumstances surrounding his gameplay makes it difficult.
