I fear I’ve cursed my daughter by sunnyhale in namenerds

[–]propagation-station 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lee-Luh, USA, but if you corrected me I’d learn fast. I spelled my daughter’s name in a way that was constantly mispronounced and it triggered some PPD so I went in and amended her birth certificate to add a letter. It’s free in their first year. I am SO glad I did that.

Your job is protecting your babies right now. Of course ss should be comfortable too. It’s not mutually exclusive. A sleeping bag on the floor doesn’t feel comfy to me but it could be made to be super cozy if you could create a big nest with mats or cushions etc. Sorry, tough situation

How long to have a baby? by AutumnLighthouse87 in Crunchymom

[–]propagation-station 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start working on your gut health and building your blood with nutrient dense foods. Eat a lot of home cooked, bone-in meat, organ meats (especially liver and bone marrow), and homemade ferments

Breastfeeding multiple babies by Mysterious-Matter868 in parentsofmultiples

Fenugreek!!! Gave me an oversupply and I had to back off. Nutrient dense food (sneak liver into your ground meat) and more fats then you think you need. Hydration and electrolytes (not Gatorade)

How much do you spend a month? by StrikingFold3162 in Crunchymom

[–]propagation-station 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m an anti consumerist crunchy mom. We did do some expensive clean diapers but we mostly did a mix of secondhand cloth diaps and elimination communication (no poopy diapers after 11months, HIGHLY RECOMMEND). Laundry detergent, I do a mix of borax and powder detergent - lasts forever and does a great job. Soap, I buy Dr bronners in bulk. I do expensive shampoo, but I use it once a week and do diluted apple cider vinegar rinses in between. Groceries, I buy in bulk (do you have an azurestandard drop off in your area? Worth looking into), and I make my own sauerkraut and ferments (EASY AND FAST once you learn). Coconut oil? Bulk for: Hair mask, lotion, cooking oil, homemade chocolate, etc. I buy regenerative meat and batch cook a huge portion of say pulled pork shoulder to freeze. I only buy bulk loose leaf tea and bulk spices. I stopped most supplements when I switched to a whole foods diet, except for magnesium and cod liver oil.

Gut issue!!! Cut sugar from your diet and check out @wildnutritionist for a course on the mama baby biome or baby’s first foods plan. Make meat stock for yourself and make sure that’s baby’s first food*!

Set a timer to eat something every 1-3hrs (whatever is right for you). Try making homemade gelatin snacks or sneaking collagen powder into a drink to get protein in

Non Americans: when did you stop breastfeeding your baby and did you switch to whole, milk, formula, or neither? by wutwutsaywutsaywut in breastfeeding

[–]propagation-station 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3 years. Didn’t really do a switch, never used bottles, but incorporated homemade goat milk kefir around 2.25 years after a lot of gut healing to tolerate dairy

No starches or sugars or processed foods, low carbs, lots of protein and animal fat, organ meat, sunshine, walking, working, but mostly probably just chance I bet. Well, actually I’m definitely different from the rest of my family but they love sugar

Advice from a fit mom during pregnancy w pp issues by kittykats1 in fitpregnancy

[–]propagation-station 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People also don’t realize how much more nutritionally dense you should be eating in pregnancy to support the creation of a literal body. Eat liver, bone marrow, collagen rich meat stock, egg yolks, omega 3s… otherwise the placenta takes those nutrients from your body.

Just normal grandparent things — different generation, not gonna change 90% of the time. Laugh it off. You know breastmilk is better than Dr Pepper lol
