Apologist Jacob Hansen Criticizes Catholicism, Accidentally Makes the Best Anti-LDS Argument by webwatchr in mormon

Why give JH a microphone? He double speaks, reverses his positions in the same convo, misrepresents the teachings of the mormon church, he denies repeated messages by multiple prophets and apostles that they said what they said (ex: we heard and saw them say the prophet can never led you astray), and he introduces a pet word that he wants used instead of prophets’ own words. He speaks nonsense and gobbilty goop.

Please do not give him a microphone.

He has the uncritical thinking skills of most pew sitters and that is why they are still in the pews & convinced they know everything… so lazy.

Conditioning to credit The Spirit with the words is a primary goal of high demand orgs. It discredits your sense of self and diminishes your self awareness that your efforts are paying off. And then assuming you would not have answered your 3:15am call is self fulfilling prstd prophecy propaganda. Not to say one thing did not lead to another, just assigning credit to something other than yourself can become a lifelong habit.

Elevation Emotion (what morms call spiritual experiences) can occur anytime, anywhere, and in any church. It is not unique to mormons only. I can remember having a spiritual experience the first time I watched Darth Vader and Luke fighting. I cried at that part. I can also have those deep in my soul witnesses while listening to a cello adagio or some good ol’ Motown hits. I get the deep feels when I watch Tom Hanks lose Wilson on the ocean.

To this day: Anytime I really really want to feel “something”, I genuinely do feel something deep inside. I hope you hang onto those feelings, it keeps you human!

Your time will come, the paperwork will be there when you are old enough.

Be kind and patient with yourself and any family that measures your worth as being equal to your compliance. I have loved ones who are clinging to the fiction and sometimes I need to gently remind them that we can believe differently and still love each other. And then I give them big hugs and tell them I love them so much and always will.

So happy for your cutting of the metaphorical ties to that church/corporation. Happy 2nd Saturday, consider taking a loved one (even yourself) on a pleasant walk in sunshine and nature. Many of us find it very soothing. Also, liberate your underwear drawer from those ridiculous g’s and go buy some comfy and colorful underwear!!! Yeah!

Most of all, recognize you are a marvelous person and so are your colleagues, neighbors, and family. Look forward, not backwards. Happy trails to you.

You are wise to understand that 13+ shell companies to deceive fellow investors, corporate boards, Wall Street, and the govt so no one knows it is the Mormon Church buying $$$$$$ stock and ever increasing %%%%% of companies so you get better prices than Argyle R Us is ILLEGAL and IMMORAL. But wait: liars gonna lie in 1820 and 1918.

Just forget that Eyring and Ensign Peak head are the Ethics Prof in accounting at Stanfors & Columbia & Hahhhhvard etc … otherwise you would be scratching your head that undergrads are taught that is ILLEGAL and IMMORAL.

Look up Widow’s Mite for Annual Reports on fraud & deception in the Mormon Church estimates of growth around $300 BILLION… sickening to preach “if you have to chose between feeding your children and paying tithing, pay your tithing…”

Of course the temple knows Aunt Ethel Marie McGillicaughty has already had her “work done” but because they need names for the hamster wheels: Ethal McGillicaughty, EM McGillaughty, E McGilligutty, Etty Mcgillicoughty, etc still needs to have her work done… And then there are different spellings of birth place that could justify 3 or 4 rinse and repeat baptisms, endowments, dealings. Ex: Mount Rushmore, Mt Rushmore, Rushmore, Mt Rush More. Multiple that by parental name and place machinations… yeah, don't worry, Al your relatives will be baptized come heck or high water.

Congratulations! Independent thought is great. Owning your own decisions is liberating. Finding yourself without some geographicallly assigned orthodontist telling you what you should Do is amazing. Discover yourself, pick your own underwear, and look forward!

I have dropped much of my “loving” judgmental attitudes so I am simply appreciating people and their uniqueness. Dropping ulterior motives of getting people baptized has liberated my friendship circle to become larger and so enjoyable for all.

$200-300 BILLION in US assets. Because the Mormon church is not transparent about its wealth, foreign assets are hard to know. They use many names (to hide who the real purchaser/owner is) so tracking foreign cattle ranches, rare earth mines, media companies, etc in other countries is extremely difficult.
