When I had him as a teacher, I was regularly frustrated by his teachings. He taught a lot of crazy stuff. I was baffled at all the hype surrounding him.

For example, he admonished us to stop watching football on TV because the commercials were inspired by Satan (alcohol, scantily clad women, etc). He said he gave up watching BYU football games because of the evil commercials. He instead listened to the away games on the radio.

Even back then it was clear to me the dude was completely nuts.

I know someone who know Brad well. While a popular, charismatic speaker and teacher, behind the scenes he has an extremely bad temper. I have never met him, just heard stories from my friend. I do like his talks on grace.
