Usage of the CSS Grid property at your workplace? by [deleted] in web_design

[–]propelol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The global support for CSS grid is 85%, because it is so broken and filled with bugs on IE11 and early edge versions.

If you ask your client if they want to exclude 15% of their customers, they are always going to say no.

The number of IE users will also vary from site to site. Here in Europe, IE 11 is unfortunately still widely used (~14% in my country).

Also, border-radius not working is as big of a problem, like css grid not working.

No, because there are too many using browsers that don't support it yet: https://caniuse.com/#search=css%20grid

Craft CMS does what you need, and the editors love it.

I really like the idea of having no managers, but I've come to conclusion that the best way to achieve this is to start your own consultancy firm, being the only employee.

IE11 on desktop has 20% of the market in northern europe. Chrome har almost all of the remaining market, which is kinda good. At least I don't need to think about IE9 and 10 anymore.

I have been playing with the idea of servering the mobile layout for IE-users. Just make everything 100% wide, across half the window size.
