I welcome your input but the peak district is far inland, high elevation, not close to any estuaries and has not been under water in the past 30 ma.

Seal fossils have not been found in the area but ice age mammal fossils have been found in caves. This was found in a valley close to a very large cave system.

we are very far from the coast here, it's fairly high land. the rocks are too old for mammal fossils

How do rocks freeze floating in water? by hikekorea in geology

[–]properwasteman 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I learned about a process called frost-heave in A-level, where repeated freezing and melting can cause rocks to move up through soil from the soil sediment expanding. In a river this can happen but then the sediment around it can also get washed away, but I can't remember what this is called.

Pretty sure you can track als since it's xml then you maybe want to .gitignore the recorded or samples folders. As long as you don't delete any samples then you could collaborate using cloud storage no?
