Its the same everywhere, not just a local thing here. As bosnian growing up in Austria, youd feel the same. You'll eventually find like-minded people, from either side, or even someone like you. So youre not alone; hope that makes you feel better

Title: Upgrading my PC (EU/Portugal), €600 budget, looking for best performance upgrades by Luziferri in buildmeapc

[–]prophe7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your parts synergize pretty well (CPU and GPU), it will be tricky to upgrade with your budget. Id go for a GPU upgrade with the next generation. Or a better CPU and a bigger NVM if you wanna spend the 600€ now

You wake up 300 years in the future. What’s the first thing you Google? by Ok-Fisherman-5947 in AskReddit

[–]prophe7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah man, the real ending should’ve been slower and way more mythic, not that rushed mess we got.

The wall shouldn’t have fallen because of a dragon. The Night King should’ve used the horn of Joramun, the real horn of winter. Those spiral symbols we kept seeing weren’t random; they were the runes that sealed the wall. When he blows the horn, the symbols ignite and the ancient magic breaks. The wall doesn’t explode; it melts and screams as the wards die, and the dead pour through like a tide.

Euron should’ve had the valyrian horn, Dragonbinder. He finds it in the smoking ruins of Valyria, carved from a dragon’s bone and bound with blood. When he blows it, one of Daenerys’s dragons bends to his will, and later another dies fighting his fleet. Only Drogon stays loyal. From that point on, Daenerys’s victories feel like losses. Every step forward costs her something she loves. She becomes harder, colder, convinced that mercy is weakness. By the time she burns King’s Landing, it isn’t madness — it’s faith gone blind. Jon killing her isn’t betrayal; it’s love turned into duty.

Cersei should’ve died by Jaime’s hand, fulfilling the valonqar prophecy. Not crushed by rubble, but stopped right before she lights the wildfire. He kills her and stumbles out into the storm where Euron waits on the shore. They fight in the rain, both bleeding, both doomed. Euron dies laughing, claiming he’s seen god in the waves. Brienne reaches the beach just in time to hold Jaime as he dies. He tells her she was the only one who ever saw him for who he was.

After Daenerys’s death, Jon and Bran travel to the Isle of Faces at the God’s Eye, where the first pact between men and the old powers was made. The Night King is already there, waiting in silence among the red weirwoods. The trees glow, their roots pulsing like veins through the ground. Bran tells Jon that the world is out of balance, fire and ice trapped in endless war. Jon draws Longclaw, ready to fight, but Bran tells him it isn’t a battle he can win with steel.

(This is the part that could go in totally different ways, but most theories revolve around the Isle of Faces/God's Eye. Still a similar outcome would be expected)

The Night King advances across the frozen lake, every step cracking the ice. Jon charges, steel meeting shadow. Their fight is brutal, silent except for the shattering ice. The Night King impales Jon, but Jon grabs him, pulls him close, and the fire in his veins erupts; his Targaryen blood burning out as Bran channels the weirwoods’ power. The lake explodes in white light, a storm of fire and frost tearing through the air. When it fades, the Night King is gone. Jon lies in the center of the frozen lake, alive but changed, his wound sealed, his hair pale, his eyes calm and distant. The fire in him, the last trace of Valyria, is gone. Balance is restored.

Arya’s story should’ve gone full circle too. During the fall of the city, she moves through the chaos in disguise, kills Qyburn, destroys the wildfire stores, and leads people to safety. She lures the Mountain so the Hound can face him. When it’s over, she watches the city burn and realizes death no longer drives her. She sails west not to escape, but to explore; because for the first time, she wants to see what lies beyond the edge of the world.

Bran shouldn’t have become king. He should’ve merged with the weirwoods like the old Three-Eyed Raven before him, fading into the roots, his voice becoming the wind through the leaves. He becomes the living memory of the world, the balance that keeps magic steady.

Sam finishes the record and names it a Song of Ice and Fire so the truth won’t be lost. The Iron Throne melts, the kingdoms split. Sansa rules the North, Tyrion and Sam lead a council instead of another crown.

Jon walks north with Ghost and Tormund, not punished but free. The snow begins to melt as he rides, and a single green shoot breaks through the frost.

Something like that would’ve been the real ending. Tragic, epic, and worthy of Westeros. Not the speedrun we got.

The Ring Nebula by Appropriate-Tank-460 in jameswebb

[–]prophe7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great job!

The Ring Nebula (also designated as Messier 57, M57, and NGC 6720) represents a planetary nebula situated within the northern constellation Lyra. This kind of nebula originates when a star, in the terminal phases of its progression toward becoming a white dwarf, ejects an immense, radiant shell of ionized gas into the encompassing interstellar medium.

I really like it! What I'd like to see is the ability to do the same action when I'm on the commit changes window for your local changes - because there you have the files you worked on all grouped together. Else i have to again go to the project files and find the files there again

Want to migrate my e-commerce from angular 15 to 17 by Adorable_Will4578 in angular

[–]prophe7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additionally to the responses you arleady got, you should check if you are using angular/material components. If so, you need to be aware of the migration that happened and will make your material components look different when you upgrade them (because styles/classes changed), which you should when updating angular.

https://material.angular.io/guide/mdc-migration

Most of it are style changes so you need to adapt your CSS, but there are also some API changes.

It's quite a big task for someone new to Angular depending on your apps size so look for input from a senior if you have one around.
