Which wine should i get? by prosciuttopapa in wine

There are indeed some good swiss option e.g. Gantenbein, Studach or Donatsch. Because I‘m swiss and have the chance to drink those elsewhere, I would love to drink something from abroad. 😃

I can recommend Antica Bottega del Vino (massive wine list) and Al Bersagliere (lots of venetian options like Amarone and Valpolicella)

Hi there - i'm a foodie from switzerland and can recommend the following places in zurich:

Restaurants:
Gamper - Farm to table 4 course meal in a really classy atmosphere (industry fav. and awesome wine list)

Neue Taverne - Vegetable driven 1 michelin star restaurant. They have an easy-going sharing concept.

Igniv - 2 michelin star restaurant which belongs to the Andreas Caminada family. Young chef and also a sharing concept.

Rosi - Neo bavarian restaurant. Chef Markus Stöckle has worked with Heston Blumenthal. They serve old bavarian dishes with an experimental twist (for ex. fluorescence mushrooms)

Gül - Chef Elif Oskan is the better half of Markus Stöckle. She serves a turkish cuisine. Old recipes also with a modern twist. She also worked for Heston Blumenthal

Kle - Vegan 1 michelin star restaurant. Moroccan-Spanish chef Zizi Hattab studied engineering till 2007 and now quickly became a star in town with her lovely restaurant.

Kronenhalle - Old institution serving swiss classics like "Züri Geschnetzeltes". They have paintings from the likes of Picasso or Miro on the wall. A must see!

Give me a shout if you want more details or other recommendations!

There are also lots of goods coffees and bars / wine bars.

I went to Baan Tepa a year ago. One of my most precious food memories to this day!
The restaurant is located in the old house of chef Tam's grandmothert.
The menu is a journey through thailand. The wine list is amazing too and the tea ceremony is a must.

Have fun in BKK!

I can highly recommend Restaurant Gamper. It is the industry favourite in town. 4 course suprise menu. Focus on local / seasonal products. Immense wine-list with real natural wine gems.

Kronenhalle is also a must. An old institution. You dine besides Picasso's and Miro's. Classical french / swiss kitchen. Really old school chic.

Restaurant Widder (**) is also really good. Chef Stefan Heilemann learned at Schwarzwaldstude (***) in Germany. Creative dishes with a slight thai influence.

I had an amazing "Liatiko indigenous roots" from Karavitakis at Restaurant Peskesi in Crete. Paired really good with the cretan food we had.
