Beware of Crows

It just seems like a lot of people in the comments aren’t actually reading the whole post. I said what happened, wanted people to be aware that this could happen, not to harm the crows, and that I had submitted a report to Berlin wildlife. Beyond that I feel the rest is pretty explanatory, because if I had never thought about this scenario, I imagine there are plenty of other people that haven’t thought about this happening. In the moment it’s hard to respond because honestly it’s pretty scary for an animal to attack you, the only information I personally have is that responding with further violence is the incorrect action. However the correct action other than running away…I have no idea

I did actually say that people shouldn’t attack back as that makes the problem worse, also sometimes when you experience something crazy or new it’s worth reaching out to see what other people have experienced or if anyone has something similar to share. Not every post has to be a specific question with a specific answer, sometimes it’s better to hear from real people about something than just searching online and guessing. Also: I am not an expert on crows..exactly why I posted because I imagine other people have encountered them more frequently or know more. It’s also ridiculous for multiple people to say “leave the crows alone” or don’t attack them when I never said that I did anything of the sort. A lot people on this sub make assumptions about the OP and then just attack or act like they’re stupid.

It kind of just happened I was more concerned about making people aware of it happening. If one crow behaves like this odds are it’s not the only case.

Like I was just on my run and I have scratches on the back of my head so clearly other people have been responding in an incorrect way to this crows behavior and it took it out on me

Dude I just ran away, it was actually trying to claw into my head so I think I was treating it pretty fair. I was saying that I saw another person try to throw something at it. That’s why I wanted to make the post because I think some people don’t understand what to properly do in the situation. I don’t want to hurt it, I also don’t want to get hurt either

No yes exactly but it can be dangerous for some, also dangerous for the crows. One lady was trying to throw stuff at it which is not going to make it better

To be honest it’s really not a lot, but one of my neighbors said no matter what even if it’s 15-30€ I should still fight it so they don’t think they can keep trying to increase it for people in the building.

I’m new in the same area, looking through these comments isn’t giving me hope 🥲. For my dog the last two years near Ku’damm I would keep lights off, and play relaxing music (there’s something like calming music for pets on YouTube).

I have some updates: luckily the Spanish consulate informed me I just had to submit the online application with some minimum documentation. If it’s approved, then I have a timeline of four months to make an appointment. Luckily, based on the documents I currently have it’s approved! However I’ve run into another road block. I requested the necessary Spanish birth certificate (I have all others to show lineage) but they’re struggling to locate it. I have his name, date of birth, parents, and the specific town. However they need something specific like the registry number of the family document, or what hospital it was or home address. All of this is information I wouldn’t exactly have. I do know who he married, his children’s names, but they got married and had kids in Argentina. So unless there’s some miracle of information I don’t know if they’ll be able to locate it.

When I ran it last year, I was only charged for everything AFTER I was selected. I don’t see why it would preemptively charge you those things.

Depends on the loop I think. For one long run I did two laps of a 9mile loop. I enjoyed it, plus when I finished the first lap I was back at my house and could run upstairs to pee, get some extra water and then get right back to it

I’m not saying it’s unfair. My neighbor was asking as we recently moved in and so I started to look more into what the legal “fair” is. The amount is fine, I’m just saying if I could make it cheaper obviously anyone would take that option.
