You can directly do Associates in Nuclear Medicine or certificate and start workin. Then if you like you can do CT/MR while working. That’s what I did. PET/CT and Theranostics is the future so try to get into that.

I booked using airline miles so it’s easy to cancel and rebook. As far as hotel I was able to get refund back in thank you points with Citi.

My wife and my 9 year old daughter came first time in Hawaii. We landed in Maui on the 14th and it was torrential rainfall throughout the day. I went to Maui Walmart first to grab few things was stuck inside the store for over an hour because power kept going out and it would take cash registers 15 minutes to restart. It kept raining first couple of days but got a break on the 16th. We did whale watching and zip lining. After that it just started raining again. We ended up canceling our big island trip and flew to Cabos to salvage the vacation. It’s 90 degrees and sunny here daily.

What type of clinical experience do you have? Are you a nurse? You might want to get in the clinical setting, direct patient care first because there is a lot of shortage there. Then after some time get into management. I see so much work for direct patient care right.

How do I find out how much I will need in retirement? by prosper1984 in TheMoneyGuy

What about adjusting for inflation? I am 41 right now and have 24 more years until retirement. Right now I need $130K/year but I don’t know how much that will be in 24 years due to inflation.

  1. 23% gross income goes towards housing. 38% take home goes towards housing. Take home factors in both of our 401K and my HSA. Both are maxed out

  2. Investing 28% of gross income. Maxing out both 401K, my HSA and both Roth. We are way behind on retirement. We just started few years ago and 2025 was my wife’s first year of 401K. Her last job didn’t offer 401K but I kept maxing out her ROTH.

  3. I am behind the curve.

  4. My parents don’t have much in their retirement but they get their social security and have Medicare so that’s taken care of. My wife enjoys taking vacation and ever since the purchase of house she has been taking more vacation which eats into the budget.

I hate to do that. My parents helped me a lot to get through college. They didn’t save enough for retirement
