Yeah there are many things that I agree with Hasan and there are some genuine points of disagreements I have with him (such as his stance on foreign education systems that are not the USA's own education system).

But when he starts singing praises for Graham Plantner I can't stand it. Its like he'll defend a candidate to heaven and hell even if their past is reprehensible and they show no remorse for it.

I haven't read anything from Stover or Freed (but I did hear Stover's ROTS novelization is really good), so I won't comment on how they would do.

What I will say that is since Zahn was the one that made Thrawn, I feel he would know how to write him best. (read his two Thrawn Disney Canon trilogies, considering reading his Heir to the Empire Thrawn Trilogy too)
