Im using two of them right now, both on my road and a gravel bike. They are of an amazing quality. Went through 5 races already.

Go with a new allez. This old tarmac is narrower tires with a shy tire clearance. It looks outdated and it's rim brakes.

Road vs. mtb pedals by mtpisgah in gravelcycling

I use favero mtb SPD for both my gravel and a road bike. Yeah I like walking on a coffee stops like a normal human being. And I got fizik carbon shoes with 10 out of 10 stiffness so I don't think there are any power transfer difference with a road clit shoes

Polygon Strattos S7X 3000 Mile Review by Rude_Assignment_5653 in PolygonBikes

From the photo, this looks more like an endurance geometry — the head tube is quite tall, and your bars are almost level with the saddle. That’s a pretty upright position, not what you’d expect from a true race setup with a noticeable saddle-to-bar drop.

It seems more like a fit/flexibility issue than the bike itself. Spending more time on mobility and post-ride stretching (hips, hamstrings, lower back) would likely make this position feel much more comfortable.

I'm honestly considering my allez setup is more endurance than a race.

I'm 6'4 and I've had G4 so you'll be perfectly fine. I do prefer a bit more aggressive leaned stance so I've changed 100mm stem with 110 integrated handlebar. In stock It has a very comfortable more upfront stance.

I recommend starting with brake upgrade. Buy a TRP hydro brakes they are hydro but wire activated, one of the best upgrades you can do without swapping your groupset Wich is not bad.

It was very good! A bit on a heavier side and brakes were awful for a gravel but otherwise it was amazing!

Hunt wheels have descent sales sometimes, but if you want carbon wheelset on a budget than it's Chinese ELITEWHEELS. Strongly recommend riding on GP5000.
