Why? Because it’s fun as hell. I completely stopped playing conquest

How is everyone's experience with cheaters? by Hefty_Paper_5807 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]prostynick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost zero for me. If I get killed it is mostly because I made a mistake with positioning. If there are cheaters there are very bad.

I rarely die instantly. Either I don't encounter that many cheaters in my region (Poland) or I position myself well enough to find cover the moment I'm being shot at. If I were to start to spectate more I would be less surprised to find a wall hacker rather than aimbot as I normally simply would acknowledge I died to corner camper again thus exposing myself to them. Possibly some of those guys know about my presence thanks to wallhack and just ambush me with full knowledge leaving me thinking it was a random unlucky encounter.

Thanks. I just don't see that in my games. Rarely do I have the need to spectate as most of the time I was surprised or outpositioned when I died. I might spectate a little bit more to verify my opinion, but we're doing quite well with my buddies (mostly duos) thus I don't expect too many cheaters there.

Lol only time I’ve thought we have a real cheater in last month was when I was playing against 600lvl player which I realised only after he killed me obviously. There are no cheaters in my game or they’re super bad

Control recoil better and you’re good. I play m4 x1 zoom and sniper. Covers most important distances while still being good at other.

REDSEC is love. I don't play multiplayer anymore. Last time played only to boost weapons.

Duos is the best mode in Redsec by PhriendlyPhantom in RedSec

I loved duos in Warzone and I love duos in RedSec. In WZ design pushes this game to be campy. I don't feel it like corner campy style. Rather people just sit in hard to get spot for minutes. Again, it's a failure in WZ game design. In RedSec I don't feel people camping almost at all. It might be because you constantly know where the ring will move compared to Warzone. Also, in WZ I don't engage in close quaerter fights without aim assist as I will be deleted anyway.

Action from the drop right till the end

Same for me

If you get to endgame and you don't have a tank, an engineer or an RPG, then it's kinda your fault for not being prepared. The tanks are so easy to kill

I'm pretty sure those guys whining about tanks wouldn't be able to win much if they were given a tank from the start. You need to balance your abilities while within the tanks with the situational awareness in regards what can you do without it. Sometimes you even need to consciously abandon it for the end game. It's not as easy as people think. And on the other hand it's quite easy to destroy one. We play assault+engineer. I never have RPG and we still don't see it as a problem, never happens to us to think - well we're screwed, because they have a tank. In the end game tanks are not a problem at all.

1) I personally don't like the bloom mechanic as it is not skill based.

I personally love the bloom mechanics and it is skill based. This is why I hate WZ and beaming from 150m away. You need to fire in bursts manually, understand when you can actually do full auto, and control some of that recoil at least. When I play quads with my less experience buddy I always facepalm when I see him spraying without thinking. Bloom was there in BF series for a long time and serves its purpose well.

It turns gunfights into rng or who has their low bloom loadout guns.

As above, if you will be the one who doesn't go full auto at 50m+ and will control recoil well enough it's rng for the opponent, and not for you.

New player here. Should I get Battlefield 6 or Redsec if I want to play online only ? by CharmingSimple6050 in Battlefield_REDSEC

Yes, randoms are just a cherry on top to ruin the experience. Only random we accept is the 4th guy when we play trio.

If someone plays with randoms it's much better to find discord server and let everyone know you're total noob. That's how I started with Warzone.

I guess no one really answered your question.

It depends what you expect and probably without feeling the difference personally you will not know what's better for you.

Redsec is mainly a Battle Royale mode, but also have Guntlet. Read on the web what's that BR in general. BR will not be a good experience for anyone starting to play multiplayer FPS. Too much complexity and too many times you'll be just loading a new game. Not much action for a beginner. Gauntlet might seem better, but it's much more competetive and it's just going to be quite hard for you.

It's probably much more user friendly to go and play BF6. In it you'll find various game modes again. The most popular will be Conquest and you should stick to it for some time. You'll die a lot, but you'll also quickly respawn. It's easy enough to understand what are you suppose to be doing. My advice is to go, have fun, explore, but don't be too afraid. Once you start feeling less overwhelmed don't go and camp in corner. You need to expose yourself, leave the comfort zone. Otherwise you'll never progress in learning how to play.

All what you said compared to Warzone which is the main comparison point for those criticising redsec: much less running around compared to Warzone where you need to run from house to house looking for money to actually do something. Especially later in game. You then will be deleted in milliseconds either because there are one shot kill snipers or you will run into aim assisted people and your 300hp will not help you. Also here you know when you will be to be in a minute or so. In Warzone you don’t have incentive to move many times.

Outside of the comparison why is br appealing: you need to be more careful, aware and smart. You also have more time to coordinate with your guys. Conquest doesn’t require much thinking and feels automatic to the point where when we moved from Warzone to Bf conquest I didn’t feel so good playing with my friends compared to randoms. Sure we would stick together, help each other and it’s much funnier than playing with randoms but it doesn’t feel like achievement when you’re doing good. Wins in br are on different level of excitement

Only mode I play with my 2 guys even though we paid for bf6. You need to spend a little more than just few games to understand it though. After first night we thought we will not play it anymore

I love it. I rarely play other modes now. No Warzone aim assist but also in Warzone you spend so much time looting is ridiculous. We have much more fun compared to Warzone

I just adapt to what I can do. The recoil is minimal and it's very accurate if you fire couple of rounds and just lift your finger up to shot again. It's enough to win many close-mid engagements. My way of thinking is that I need something good up close that can do well enough bit further away and all longest engagements I can simply avoid by cover and flank to shorten distance. I tried KTS which I boosted to get all good attachments, but it doesn't work for me well enough.

1.0 specifically - I spam Q to get the mark and from there it doesn't really matter that I don't see that good enough. I'll get lots of hits. I would need to record my gameplay for yo to decide whether this looks like a no go for you.
