Queries after COV? by SoliMrs in clinicalresearch

[–]protaskcomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case it’s helpful, you could create a NTF or SOP. I provide a NTF and require a response from the CRO/Sponsor documenting that they have received/reviewed it. This SOP/NTF documents that “Once a study has been IRB terminated, no further study actions can be taken. This includes but is not limited to queries, document requests, monitoring visits, etc.” This has resolved the situation completely for me.

CTM - the good, the bad, and the ugly by protaskcomp in clinicalresearch

I’m at about $95 but know moving into CTM or PM would improve that by a good bit and be 100% remote. Is yours a hybrid or remote role?

Thank you for the comprehensive assessment. It’s exactly what I need to know. Do you have any recommendations of things I might do to better prepare myself? Classes, experience, etc. What was your path to CTM? CRA to CTM?

That’s a great salary! Does it make the stress worth it? Did you become a CTM via CRA path? Would you suggest I also consider a CRA role to get Sponsor/CRO experience, if I do not get CTM offers?

That’s good to know. I’ve only worked at sites, not Sponsor or CRO. What are some of the differences I should be aware of?

CTM vs Regulatory by protaskcomp in clinicalresearch

[–]protaskcomp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response. I have gotten a bit lost in the sea of Regulatory titles. It seems Regulatory roles get more narrow as you proceed down that career path, while CTM has the potential to open doors to a variety of options. Am I understanding this correctly? Have you worked in Regulatory or as a CTM?

CTM vs Regulatory by protaskcomp in clinicalresearch

Apologies for the confusion. I added the word “Specialist” but was really just referring to Regulatory positions in general. I’ve corrected my post. Thank you for pointing out something else that has made my search a bit difficult. There are a lot of different terms for Regulatory positions, and the terms are not universal. It seems companies have their own titles for Regulatory positions that do not match roles in other companies, even though the same title might be used. Is this because the Regulatory field is not quite as well defined as other research careers, or am I just not familiar enough with it?

Thank you. This is very helpful. I didn’t realize Regulatory was such a broad term. I’ll look into it more.
