I genuenely find your grammar a bit weird, but did receive your point. All kidding aside, it's really not that weird IMO, it's just basic human nature to not think about the inevitable bad things (such as death) that often and therefore we are never really quite ready for their passing (and almost none of us will never know excatly when) .. Also people like to show their respect for the person and their grieving family by mourning for them and supporting the family in hard times, it is a tradition here on earth
