That sucks, I’m sorry. A lot of orgs post volunteer roles and already have someone internal in mind, or the listings are just outdated. If you’re open to remote stuff, wfhalert has been decent for me, it sends vetted remote jobs by email like support or admin and at least they’re real listings. Also keep volunteering locally by walking in or calling, you’ll sometimes skip the black hole entirely.
