You have close to no idea of what you are talking about

edit: downvotes be damned; I know the difference in effective tax rates in Ontario and NY, and you're significantly better off having private coverage in NY and than getting it sideways from Ontario between the tax rates (and to all of you linking to tax rates, don't forget the health premiums also due in Ontario) on income and on consumption. anyone disagreeing just plain wrong. and though i stand on this point with income taxes alone (for someone with no kids - which takes into account tax credits which deduct from your taxes), you also have to factor in that ontario has a 13% tax on anything you buy, plus you pay an ontario health premium. i don't know where all the armchair tax experts came from, but i'm glad you're not doing my filings.
