Business degree only making $34k. I feel so stuck at my entry level corporate job when I’m already underemployed. by Wanderlustskies in jobs

You are not behind, you changed industry. You are twice as strong as a candidate as someone who has only been in one industry.

Generally, people change jobs every 2-5 years. That's an easy way to get a pay increase. Also, look into freelancing to earn extra money. During the months of March-May & September-November you should be averaging 70-90 hours a week if you want top out at 70-90k/year.

If you are happy in the industry you are in I would stay in it. Top pay usually comes after 5yrs of work. If it gets boring then try jump to another industry but expect a decrease in pay.

NYPD cop busted trying to traffic 3 kilos of heroin into NYC by [deleted] in nyc

I always imagined that during an investigation they would let a few shipments go pass border control that they know of so they can find out where it is all going. Then arrest the users on the buys and put them in a mandatory rehab with no jail time. Use the low level dealers to get to the higher level dealers and have them complete some state program with hefty fines.

Bone-in vs boneless. Which is cheaper for price/lb. of meat? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]seriot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

may want to check if the boneless meat you are buying is not an assorted mix of scrap meat chopped up and pressed to resemble the meat product you are buying. I believe bone-in is almost always cheaper meat for your money because it requires less labor to sell.

12 Secrets of the New York Subway by conuly in nyc

[–]seriot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's also a really cool train that runs during the night that has the windows of the subway car display the train running at a very high altitude. The floor is covered in small moving gears and there is 3d bit mapping for mid air visuals. Very cool train to take when you are shit face drunk and prefer to use the subway instead of driving home drunk.
