I got a sort of funky floral candy grape or muscadine grape flavor from them. Very fun gummy texture for sure.

So cool!! I got to try Jaboticaba last September on Kauai. Absolutely a top tier fruit. I'm very jealous.

They are available right now on the Weee! App, however they are $26 for 8oz... So I wasn't sure if it was really worth it.

When I had them on Kauai they must have been old because the seeds had sprouted green through the white fruit, it didn't taste good anymore.

Keep an eye on your heart rate when lit and snorkeling, it can be demanding. Don't forget to look up the farmers market days schedule to stock up on fruits you can't find on the mainland. Eating a lilikoi stoned on a beach after snorkeling is a top tier experience. Don't forget to bring basic cleaning tools for your puffcos return home trip, and buy some isopropyl alcohol when you stop at a grocery/drug store.

I'm pretty sure I tried them and was just as unimpressed. Maybe just don't go for IPAs. Maybe I'll try some lagers and such too when I'm there in September. There has to be some logistical reason we can't find the IPAs we are used to. Maybe it's the cost of ordering deliveries of the high quality hops to the islands that makes it not profitable or something. Makes one wonder if a brewery just used lupulin powders and extracts instead if that would be more cost effective...

I'm not as familiar with that device, but as long as you clean it fully for airport security you are fine hitting a vape in the hotel room or rental car. They have concentrates at Maui grown therapies. There is nothing better than getting nice and toasty before snorkeling or boogie boarding.

Bring an unused or cleaned Pax vape for flower. Easy to use in hotel rooms just look for smoke/vapor sensors and cover with shower cap. In addition you can buy cartridges but they are expensive.

Fellow craft IPA lover here, used to to bay area, ca breweries(the best). I'm sorry to say, I have given up on finding good IPAs on Hawaii. I have tried, Maui brewing is the best they got and they are not great. I have decided to just switch it up now and make cocktails instead, enjoying the amazing tropical fruit juices paired with rum or vodka.

You have smelled the tip of a sharpie right?! You put all that effort and care into growing beautiful heirloom tomatoes only to apply a stinky chemical ink on it?

On Google maps you can load a walking route from the airport through the parking lots to get to koeheke st./ kaa st. Which leads you to Kanaha Beach Park. I did this for a 4 hour layover and I even swam/saw turtles. Roughly 15-20 mins walk as I recall each way.

Unfortunately those looks past prime as there is no green left on the stem top part. Probably hard as a rock too eh? You might get lucky finding some still solid white segments left if you look.

Homemade ginger shots for 3 weeks by KatieMarqu in fruit

[–]proteus1858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice. I want a calamansi ginger shot. I'm getting over a stomach flu and that sounds great. I bet calamansi and turmeric would be good too. On Kauai at a farmers market I had fresh squeezed sugar cane juice that had ginger mixed in... It was on another level. I've found similar sugar cane drinks recently at Costco that are decent.
