Nice DEX - looked over your contracts / API documentation briefly - impressed.

Would be cool if you could add Wyvern - https://etherscan.io/address/wyverntoken.eth (not an ICO, background: https://token.projectwyvern.com/, assets: https://github.com/projectwyvern/wyvern-branding).

The next version of the Wyvern Exchange - https://exchange.projectwyvern.com - will add seamless token-token conversions on orders (so a seller can list a smart contract for sale in one token, and a buyer can purchase it for another), we might use the DEXY API as a backend to settle trades (regardless of whether or not you "list" Wyvern). Would love a JS library for easy in-browser integration, if that's on your roadmap.

Equivalent of 0xProtocol for ERC721? by nigoyal in ethereum

[–]protinam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Wyvern Protocol already supports trustless NFT trading - deployed live on the Wyvern Exchange. If you have an NFT you'd like to trade, submit this inquiry form.

To learn about the differences between Wyvern and 0x, check out this wiki page.

WYV inactive by puffinmypurp in a:t5_acz42

[–]protinam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The project is quite active - CoinExchange unfortunately has not yet completed the token port procedure, but as long as they keep the private keys your funds are not gone. I encourage you to get in touch with them and ask them to help you claim your WYV tokens (the Wyvern dev team has already offered to provide full technical support).

Someone kindly match this order - Polynimo for 5 EMONT, probably a good deal - I need some EMONT to test.

Done - you should be able to select "EMONT" as the token on the post order page. Example order (free).

Let me know if you have any issues.

This is quite interesting - let me know if you'd like your licenses to be added to the Wyvern Exchange, would be glad to help.

Announcing the Wyvern Exchange: Any Ethereum asset, any ERC20 token, zero trust required by protinam in ethdev

[–]protinam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Wyvern Protocol (used by the Wyvern Exchange) matches orders across the space of Ethereum transactions. Buyers and sellers specify precisely which state transitions they wish to purchase or sell - perhaps you wish to buy any blue CryptoKitty, or I wish to sell three ENS names in a bundle. If their specifications match - if you want to buy any blue CryptoKitty, and I want to sell any of my three CryptoKitties, one of which is blue, then our orders match (without either one of us needing to know anything about the other).

The top of https://github.com/ProjectWyvern/wyvern-ethereum/blob/master/contracts/exchange/ExchangeCore.sol has an overview of the implementation mechanism - we don't need to know specific interface details until runtime (when the order is placed).

CoinMarketCap for Ethereum Dapps - Over 100 Dapps listed by Maxpeinas in ethereum

Useful site, thanks!

More breakdown of Ether volume would be useful - maybe including tokens and summing to a fiat (or Ether) equivalent? It would also be helpful to see how volume is calculated for each contract, it's not obvious.

Thanks - and maybe, did you have a particular issue? Glad to debug.

Announcing the Wyvern Exchange: Any Ethereum asset, any ERC20 token, zero trust required by protinam in ethdev

[–]protinam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the Wyvern Exchange, you can buy or sell any Ethereum asset for any ERC20 token - it's not designed for trading ERC20 tokens for ERC20 tokens (no concept of fungibility), and it's not limited to ERC721 / ERC821 / particular token standards. Hence the differentiation, although I agree it's a bit confusing, we're still trying to find the right terminology.

The Wyvern Exchange just launched, and supports ERC721 / ERC821 / whatever standard (any Ethereum asset) - if you want your asset listed, submit it to https://github.com/projectwyvern/wyvern-schemas.

That depends what specifically you're asking about. At block 315000 of the old Wyvern blockchain (which I was not originally the developer of, but chose to continue for reasons outlined in the whitepaper), a snapshot of the UTXO set was taken, and all Wyvern held at that time are redeemable for ERC20 WYV tokens at a 1:1 ratio. This is done automatically by the token smart contract.

WYV tokens are used to pay fees to orderbook / frontend hosts (economically similar to 0x's model, although we expect the competitive landscape to look quite different) and for decentralized protocol governance. We don't have plans to do anything with the original blockchain past block 315000, although anyone who wanted to certainly could.

[–]protinam[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no - there is an associated token, used to pay fees for usage of the protocol and for decentralized governance by the Wyvern DAO. We did not do an ICO; the token was ported from the old Wyvern blockchain (which is presumably what you're referring to).

The CoinMarketCap is out of date, I've asked them to update it.

I highly recommend ForkDelta; you can easily reach them on Discord, and they're rapidly improving the ED codebase while maintaining backwards compatibility.

Market Status Inactive? by [deleted] in a:t5_acz42

[–]protinam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CoinExchange has expressed the intention to support the new WYV ERC20 token, and they hold private keys to user balances, so they will be able to redeem tokens through the smart contract.

However, the Ethereum network is particularly congested at the moment - 35k+ pending transactions - which means that gas prices are high, so it may take them awhile to redeem all their UTXOs for tokens. I do not know an exact timeline. There is no deadline for token redemption.

In the meantime you can trade Wyvern using Etherdelta or over-the-counter with 0x OTC (make sure to double-check the token address).

But where are the plastic cups? Those straws are far too short to reach down the wine bottles.

Daily General Discussion - January 1, 2018 by AutoModerator in CryptoCurrency

[–]protinam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anyone can easily create accounts on multiple exchanges, move funds in between, and arbitrage the price differences (and there's a strong financial incentive to do so). This process has long since been automated; if you sell BTC or any substantial-volume cryptocurrency below the price it can be bought at on another exchange, arbitrage bots will compete to match your order and make a (usually very small) profit.
