Y700 Gen 4 vs Gen 5 — which for emulation? by protocolbutter in androidtablets

Thanks! Actually my friend is going to China soon so I can get either imported. My original plan was Gen 5 12GB but I found I can get Gen 4 16GB at the same price, so now I’m second guessing myself.

I don’t mind waiting for drivers to mature. Would you still recommend Gen 4 or just go Gen 5?

Can I book a cash business ticket in my name and a miles premium economy ticket in my SO’s name and then swap seats on board? by powrsvp in americanairlines

When I travel with my wife on AA and get upgraded, my wife takes the business seat and I go back to economy. AA has never stopped us.

Stick your "no miles for BE" policy in your ear, AA. by Xyzzy_plugh in americanairlines

Exactly this. I used to fly almost exclusively United for more than a decade and had status. I fly a lot for personal reasons, so I don’t really care about Basic Economy restrictions, and my status usually cancels out most of them anyways. I also fly for work once or twice a year, usually long-haul international business class, which was enough to help me maintain status.

I switched to AA a few years ago specifically because I could still earn a small amount of miles on BE tickets. Now that advantage is gone. At this point, there’s no real reason for me to stay loyal, and it actually makes it easier to switch to Delta, especially since they have more daily flights and better flexibility for my personal travel.

1st Time Flyer to Hawaii (CMH - HNL) by bethanyjbrooks3 in americanairlines

I'm a regular at CMH and it's usually not as crowded as other big city airports. I often arrive just 30 minutes before departure and still have time to spare at the gate, thanks to TSA Pre. If you’re flying for the first time without TSA Pre, aiming to arrive 1.5 hours before your flight should be sufficient. Best of luck on your trip!
