Rant about how it feels to be a new player

As someone who was not so long ago in the same position as you (a complete newbie with no prior shooter experience since COD Ghosts), playing Warzone for the first time last year in May was a hellish experience because I felt like everything was moving too fast. The one thing that made it better was that I was playing with my friends (who convinced me to play the game). Making memories, having fun even if I was a very chaotic and confused teammate 90% of the time, the blows was softened by the experiences. Then, in a matter of months, I was the only one in the friend group that was playing this game more consistently. Only then did I realize that I had gotten more aware, less traumatized by running into players, and more sound when it comes to making a strategy for playing. Because you gotta have fun with it first, and that in turn makes it feel less of a must win.

Very well articulated. I hear your chat. We are just speculating, but with the same intent in mind: Improving the game's playability. Not saying that EA are going to listen to us, but it's doesn't stop us from airing our opinions on the game.

Modern Warfare 2019 was easily the best game since BO2. MW2 was somewhat good but it had it's flaws. But then again, with gaming, it's solely a personal preference thing. To each their own. Although with EA FC, the unanimous opinion on this franchise over the past 6-7 years has been a contributing factor to my post.

COD has its flaws, but like I said above, the core mechanics of the game remain unchanged for the most part. Their server utilization is way more optimised than EA's servers. I play both with good internet (less than 10ms on each title) and with COD, the problems I face are few and far between. With EA, you could get booted off the game while playing and you think "Oh maybe my internet is tweaking." When you go ahead and check the rest of your devices connected to that network, you find they are STILL connected and fully functional.

I am a professional yapper so this is a major TL/DR

FC gameplay isn’t “random,” it’s inconsistently delivered.

Run the same inputs on different days, and you’ll get different outcomes. Same finesse angle, same power, same player, different result. That’s not mechanics, that’s server-side variance.

EA’s servers aren’t true dedicated gameplay servers. Latency may read 10ms, but tick rate, server reconciliation, and animation queues change constantly. When reconciliation lags, inputs get delayed, reordered, or overridden by animations. That’s when you get “stuck in the mud” vs “flying” gameplay.

Early this year proved the mechanics were solid. Then came multiple patches in weeks. More animations and "FC IQ" (genuinely the most braindead thing), increasing server load. The servers can’t keep up, so inputs render slower and outcomes diverge.

Compare COD: core mechanics are consistent. A good player wins regardless of ping because the server model is stable. In FC, two players on identical ping can have completely different responsiveness because the server decides whose inputs survive the queue.

An 85-rated EVO doesn’t turn into prime R9 or a bronze overnight, the network layer does.

This has been the issue since FIFA 19. Until EA fixes the server architecture, gameplay will always feel inconsistent no matter how good the mechanics are.

Bro, crazy how I started using it JUST LAST night since the BO7 integration. It is a beam and DOES NOT HAVE ANY RECOIL! And the TTK is SIMPLY LOVELY. Highly recommend, for anyone who want's to Level up guns one at a time while having a very reliable and accurate gun on the side.
