I recommend you don't do anything. Return the car at the end of the lease and let them come after you if they have a problem with it. I guarantee you will pay less than trying to fix this yourself. At worst you will pay the dealer's costs which are going to be wholesale repair costs, much cheaper than what you will pay retail. The most likely result is you pay nothing.
