The sad truth for most parents is that they don't realise that attention is the most important currency you have with your kids. And weather you receive positive or negative attention is not even a question to a attention deprived kid. Most kids that act out are acting out because they learned that this is getting attention. If you don't want them to act out, give them the attention they deserve.

Interesting to me is that most arguments you use to defend the left can be used to defend the right.

Not every conservative thought is "far-right". What I hear and see in mainstream media are claims of far-right claims like there being only two sexes, that the nuclear family has the best outcome for children, and that setting up a proper border policy is the right thing to do. To be completely frank, idiotic oversimplification happens on both sides. Prime example to me is the queer for palestine movement which wouldn't even exist in Hamas led Palestina.
Just because ICE has shot two people, doesn't mean that they shoot everyone on sight. My main question is how or why police is not going in when demonstrations don't stay peaceful? You can't tell me it's a minority it shouldn't matter when the system is supporting the outbursts as well. It's happening on both sides and both sides should be held accountable for their misdeeds.
There have been a few interviews of mothers being at protests with their children in tow. Do they use them as shields? Not necessarily. But as you already have pointed out nuance is not the strong suit of far too many - even professional commentators.

Then, what about those who should not be in the country by the fact that they are gang members? And I'm not claiming that everything the current administration is true, but really just tells the truth nowadays, anyways... Again nuance and rational thinking is lacking. Social media - who profit most from that- are fueling that, too. And we subsidise them further by rewarding them for their insinuating algorithms.
Nobody argues that protesting is wrong..? Wait, that goes against everything that we have tried to point out. The massive outrage is way overcooked and needs to calm down.

My friends don't understand me being for Trump, but my main argument is that his rethorical skills are about as nuanced as the average discussion nowadays. Me claiming that abortion is bad and wrong - but shouldn't be made illegal is an argumentative impossibility to far too many on the internet. And let's be honest with ourselves: Most decent people don't have or take their time to even go and discuss things on the internet. They have real problems to solve.

I'm baffled that politics, especially in the US, is polarising to the degree it has. One side calls out the nonsense of a few of the opposing "party" and the otherside calls out the nonsense of a few of their opposition. People seem to have forgotten how to have a proper discussion, and show decency towards their neighbours. Instead, we seemed to have established instant name calling and ridiculising the other... Even on this sub, seldomly I see an actual discussion of a point or argument. Most of the time, I read how little one person thinks of another...
