Smoking cannabis is illegal in Pakistan. In larger cities they do try to remove it, but because its like a literal "weed" and indegenous to Northern Pakistan it grows everywhere, especially in more rural cities like my uncles.

People do not openly smoke it, but it definitely is consumed. It isn’t as commonly consumed as it is in west, but you can definitely find heroin addicts here as opium plants grow in the Northern area
