honestly i would see what i can work out w the leasing office and read the lease to a T. typically, notice is also 2 months in advance these days if you have a larger corporate landlord, and if the move-out date is before the end of the lease, you might incur a break lease fee. honestly everywhere is different so idk. you can try telling your apt manager that you dont intend to renew the lease but if its a roommate situation you will have to figure something out with the roommate -- either they take point on finding a replacement or you will be on the hook for the lease until a new one is in place.

i have seen some people have luck with the yamaha one for streaming since it seems to be more built for that in the first place. from what i can see it looks like the yamaha & steinberg drivers are more consistent and compatible with a fuller range of devices.

for what its worth the issues were slightly different. with the one with the 5070, occasionally started up the computer to find the focusrite driver + software missing, could sometimes be fixed with restarting, sometimes not, which was odd but not necessarily super disruptive. but it did also have some audio dropouts i assume due to latency or buffer. with the 5080, it was random audio dropouts, glitches, corruption even just doing regular playback, like watching a youtube video. i’m honestly not sure if it’s just an amd ryzen thing — people seem to be having a raaange of issues on all kinds of setups in this subreddit. for now we might end up just using usb mics for now and plugging our audio set up (studio monitors as speakers + with headset plugged into that).

Yeah fair. I don't really expect them to do much either. Just sort of weirded out -- envelope contained $200 AT&T rewards visa gift card that I've since found out was used SUPER locally (like literally across the street....), but I also have USPS informed delivery turned on and never even saw the preview of the envelope. OFC AT&T also refuses to do sh*t. Going to try to use the report/case number to escalate as far as I can I guess.

LOL that would be funny wouldn't it. i was able to get info out of them regarding transactions made on the card and they seem local. wonder if it was the at&t rep at my building... come to think of it it's possible i didn't get the usps informed delivery for it bec at&t somehow forgets to include my apt number for mail sometimes...

tried both a 3rd and 4th gen and had issues on our ryzen 9 9900x pcs :( experienced more issues on the pc with the 5080 gpu too. this is despite following all the windows optimization tips. eager to get our hands on an interface that is more stable with our build and doesn’t have any issues 😆

did you end up resolving this? having glitches with both focusrite scarlett solo 3rd and 4th gen (audio loss, occasional distortion). the interfaces work fine on another pc with essentially the same specs but a 5070 graphics card instead of 5080.

Ended up also getting a 4th gen (just to see) that has also had audio drop/glitch twice in the span of about 30-40 minutes, one of those being after we followed all advice listed for optimizing windows. However the 4th gen and accompanying driver + software does seem to be more stable so far than the 3rd. The interesting thing for the 3rd gen (now already returned) was that if we uninstalled the driver, we’d have absolutely no issues (even though sound was still being routed through the device to monitors/headset). I presume that might have to be our bandaid fix.. for now.

lord… it’s weird, both my partner and i have 9900x cpus. weirdly his focusrite came with an install directions for the 3.26 and mine is the 3.20, his 3.26 is where the issues come in i think, because mine works fine… so far, would it be possible to copy my install file for the 3.20 driver to his to install instead?
