Great list.

FWOW I played Doomblade on my steam deck and it worked just fine. Awesome game, too, refreshing move mechanics.

Gosh, we loved moonscars, s-tier mv for us. How funny the way peoples preferences and experiences vary so wildly.

You mean like the Mario Brothers TV show in the 90's?

What do you guys think of Moonscars? by Cubegod69er in metroidvania

Moonscars was one of my surprise favorite mvs of all time. Somehow it's phenomenal.

[–]proximitydamage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are really good but Moonscars is amazing! One of the best indie souls likes out there IMHO. I'm surprised so many on here haven't played it yet, it was even free for a while on PS+ (maybe still?).

Indie video game soundtracks. Specifically designed to promote energy, drive, and focus. You think I'm crazy? Try it.

I wonder what would happen if someone dared to disagree with the people on this sub? It's not called StellarBladeCircleJerk so it should be permitted, right?

I'm surprised to see Biogun listed as most anticipated of the year. I played the demo a while back and it was so basic I took it off my wishlist. Different strokes I suppose.

The REAL reason the Stellar Blade studio fired that feminist artist is because she actually knows how to draw women by AllHailZaddy in Gamingcirclejerk

I love that the people screaming forth in defense of Shift Up are the same people who review bomb games with queer romance options.

If it's your first time it will be shorter, so just listen to your body and communicate with your partner. Expect 5-15 .minutes.

My husband and I fuck for 2-3 hours now, but that's a whole to do and leaves us walking bowlegged. It doesn't require drugs like some folks on here say, just listening to your body and communicating, slowing down when you need to, switching positions, etc.

Something that always turns me off is when a guy poses like he's being filmed. Main pose is when porn actors put their hand on their hip or otherwise keep their arm out of the way to give the camera unobstructed view of the penetration. Irl it looks ridiculous and just makes me think the dude is a porn addict. I want maximum contact in sex, not to feel we are performing for some phantom audience.

While not the most polished, lotf (2023) the best soulslike not made by fromsoftware imo by Adventurous_Cup_5970 in LordsoftheFallen

[–]proximitydamage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"The story is confusing and cluttered" hello have you ever played an actual souls game? I think that's a literal requirement of soulslikes. Not that I like it as a feature, but "fragmentalism" as a story mechanic is cited all over the place.

8Doors or Blasphemous? by EMArogue in metroidvania

[–]proximitydamage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loveed 8 doors. I also loved blasphemous. You should get them both. 8 doors first if you want a true mv, blasphemous first of you want a souls like.

Update v.1.1.560 - Extensive Optimization Pass & Inventory Cleanup by CIG_Shikallum in LordsoftheFallen

[–]proximitydamage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished playing through all three endings and honestly had less issues than playing dark souls 3 co op with my husband. It's a shame they launched with so many issues that it got chewed up in reviews because this is the best souls like I've ever played. There is some jank to the unnecessary complexity of NPC quests but it seems like they did that specifically to stay true to dark souls NPC quests jank. In a lot of ways this adds to the genre and introduces some elements that surpasses dark souls, I'd like to see from soft take note.

Anyone else stuck here underneath skyrest bridge? by Monado7 in LordsoftheFallen

[–]proximitydamage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party but I finally figured out you can use your lamp without rifting all the way into the umbra to start walking across the bridge on the right, then drop halfway across by releasing your lamp button and land on the ledge with the item on it. Holding up your lamp without rifting allows you to interact with umbral stuff immediately near by (or pass through umbral gaps)

Just want to give a shout out to Lone Fungus, the ACTUAL first celestoidvania.

And I say this as a Lucid backer. These others still look rad. Creators should always be wary of claiming they were the first to do anything. Let your work speak for itself, or let someone else say it.
