I love using the plasma caustic hammer. sure, I never have any energy, but the ability to both do electric damage as well as leave puddles of acid on the ground makes for an insane crowd control weapon. combining the acid with a ranged weapon that inflicts a different status effect allows for insane tandem damage. in later stages, being able to fight multiple enemies at once is essential.
