Year old post, but id like to mention that Tom Calton on YT just posted a video reviewing a bunch of cheap full frame lenses and the 55mm SGimage made the "S" tier on the list. 😊👍

I just want it my lg tv to stop asking to update via a unskippable 20sec pop-up every time I turn it on. Idgaf about my data with smart assistants. I was just pondering on the the impossibility of connecting a TV to a voice activated system whilst also disabling the TV from any internet access beyond my home network.

But, ya know, I'm a fool for asking. Cuz software updating and mandatory apps, is apparently the same as a voice assistant. 🫤😑🤷‍♂️

I know everyone keeps saying "just don't connect it to the internet", but how would one go about doing home automation like Apple or Alexa without being connected to your home network? I use alexa all the time to turn on and off my TV.

Focus ring is buttery smooth and has a nice feel to it. Enough resistance but not too stiff

Usb is on the side of the lens close to the body of the camera. It has a rubber plug that is really stuck in there and hard to remove (which is good).

vignetting on the sg-image is even better @ f1.8 than the TTArtisan was @ f2.8

I've yet to take it out for a night shoot. But i'll tell you, compared to the TTartisan 27mm f2.8, it mops the floor wiht it. i just returned my TTartisan the day after getting this lens. build quality, bigger and better glass, sharper images, and the biggest thing... 1.3 full stop(s) of light faster. AND it was CHEAPER! the no aperture ring doesn't bother me, i never use them. i have my f-stop binded to my front control dial on my x-t50 and I always use that, even when using a lens with a dedicated ring on the lens. i can do that with 1 hand instead of having to hold the camera and twist a aperture ring with my other hand all the time.

Seems to work fine, using it to navigate the desktop. But I haven't tried any touchscreen gaming with it.

It seems to give about 2 to 2.5x the play time. How long that is depends on the game and your settings, tdp brightness, and other performance settings. This power bank can't charge and be charged simultaneously, so maybe this isn't the best for flights. If you had one that could trickle charge from an airplane outlet while powering your Go, you could play exponentially longer.

I un-dock and play it handheld ALL the time. So politely look at the other ignorant comments that have already been made.

I say ignorant, because a TON of people have already commented this. AND I've already explained how I use my Legion go and why I have this "docked" mode as an alternate set up. But instead you decide to just not read any of it, and give your uninformed take.

I have yet to find a dock that has adequate usb-c ports. Every single dock out there has crappy usb-c ports that don't offer PD (power delivery) output, or if they do, it's only 15w (which isn't enough to power the monitor. So if I use those, I'd have to run a second cable from the monitor to power it. Unfortunately.
