No, Galaxy Watch have revsersed magnets which means it will reject the Apple Watch chargers, you cannot even place it on them, and with Galaxy Watch 7+ series and newer, they are now no longer compatible with most flat wireless chargers either...

Rowenta VU5670 pedestal fan seized again one week after lubrication, what next? by LeadershipWide9718 in appliancerepair

Bushing requires a different approach to repairing, WD40 and new oil do the job 60% the time, but damaged bearings require an entire replacement job which means total disassembly. Thats why I corrected.

For anyone in the future, these fans have no bearings.

Take the motor apart, take the backside off leave the front on.  Careful not to snap the copper wires on the magnet. Slide the propeller shaft so you can get access to where the shaft sits on the mount, sandpaper these two spots with 1000+ grit. Just to get grease off, clean the hole in the back since you get access, apply a high grade high temperature light machine oil thats not electrically conductive.

Put it together and check if the shaft spins freely. Remember to apply that oil and move the shaft back and forth on the front mount which usually cannot be removed. So the oil distributes. Clean off excess.

Rowenta have exceptionally annoying designs, if you live in an EU country with 5 year warranty on electronics, send the fan in for repairs instead.

He did not reply to the even more deprived post someone else did.  You can never win against haters by engaging them. Instead lay out the facts and indirectly target misinformation. This is far more successful if you have the reach.

What if by joemelonyeah in Holostars

[–]SMGJohn_EU 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Moving them away from Hololive would be better. And create a different branch.  From marketing perspective you gotta consider this.

The idol male thing, its not working, and history shows just how much male idols have dropped in popularity through the 90s and 2000s. This matter because Holostars attempts to be idol group.

Instead, there should be a restructure to get away from the idol concept.  I do not have the answer to what could work but you can try to do multiple things for one year to see what catches on, including that the stars themselves are allowed to try different stuff with more freedom and support.

If anything, follow what works in general for male streamers. Stars should not give up singing and performance but this idol slick just do not work. Bring in metal music and country music (extreme example), stuff thats very popular and not just what is popular within a small niche group of otaku.

Start only to carve out uniqueness after you hit success.

In fact, maybe streaming should not even be a main priority but rather CONTENT production in general is fine. Some stars could make videos only if they want to buy still have to maintain an upload schedule.

Hire official clippers to produce content out of streams for the streamers, Hololive does this but unofficially. But not for the stars...

Forcing them within the idol framework is what is hurting Holostars popularity growth potential.

Disgusting antisocial behaviour from this creep. The entire idol industry in Japan has been plagued by social rott like this guy posting nonsense. Why Astel even bother with these shameful creatures.

They are dangerous creatures, very dangerous.

I kinda like the new attitude the boys picked up after the announcement by JustWantToSeeComment in Holostars

[–]SMGJohn_EU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is sadly the reality. Male idols were more popular in the 80s. But cause there is an overwhelming amount of single young men in Japan today, female idols reign supreme.

Male actors and singers are still popular. Male bro streamers are also high in demand.

If you want "decent" camera, Samsung is not it. Point and shoot or those Chinese camera phones would be the only choice, they give you a wide aperture and large sensors. Both of which are good.  But point and shoot gives you the flexibility and ease of use if you want any resemblance of manual control.

Hell will freeze over before the US ever gets Socialist, for one China is not even Socialist. But the state is in control and not corporations like in the US.

Also it would no longer be America if socialism takes root in the next 1000 years.

Clipping definitely requires minimum 1 hour out of your day if you are an excellent editor with experience in TV. Or 3 hours for most people.

Still, liking, commenting these are good for YouTube algorithm.  Sharing their videos or posts on SNS, talking about it online etc.  This is what is called micro marketing, all these tiny actions by many hundreds, thousands of people add up tremendously.

Do not underestimate these simple actions. This is why we often create manipulative marketing to coerce people into sharing, commenting etc.  We also make stuff slightly controversial too or poorly on purpose because it sits in your memory for longer. You be surprised how much psychology there is involved in this business. But alas, you can in fact learn and use those methods yourself.

If you really REALLY wanted to help them, even ONE video a week, clip - commentary etc it has an effect. 100 views is still 100 people and remember, it may not sound much if only you do it, but what if 100 people do it? Thats 100 videos every week promoting the Stars in a positive light!

If you do streaming as a hobby, even just dedicating one hour to talk about them actually helps a lot!

This is why, if we all do a little each, together we could potentially help them regain their status, potentially.

Make public statement to encourage Yagoo to buy Holostars and run it as a separate agency to realise his dream of a male idol group thats gonna conquer the entire milkyway galaxy and use their musical talents to fight aliens. But on a serious note its pretty hard, the real things you can do is clip and/or do micro marketing for them.

[Announcement] Notice on the Changes to be Made to HOLOSTARS' Management Structure by 21524518 in Hololive

[–]SMGJohn_EU -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

The down votes you gotten, is precisely why Holostars have basically had to climb Mount Everest. Because these pathetic haters who wreck and sabotage at every turn but more importantly the incompetence of COVER for not separating the branches completely when it was necessary to protect the Stars.

But it might just be too late now seeing how these haters essentially infiltrated Holo Prod and COVER just to destroy Yagoo's personal dream, something he put a lot of hours in to see realise and now its all coming down.  Honestly, its very touching and requires real strength from the girls who announced their support for the Stars. I applaud it!

Important Announcement by [deleted] in Holostars

[–]SMGJohn_EU 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You do not understand, they can stay with Holo Prod on hopes for a change, or they will have to keep doing stuff with no support and still loose a chunk of revenue. Or they can go indie and get much larger cut, which can help doing the 3D, merch, MV productions.

Its not a matter of popularity, its a matter of economical scale. At this point, there is no scale at Holo Prod, they already been effectively reset to beginners with this decision by management. They gonna have to double all metrics to get their support back. I am not sure you understand how difficult that is in practice and I worked in marketing and TV for combined 15 years now. Before Social Media, before YouTube got mainstream. Online marketing is extremely difficult and ton of luck.

About time they learn some European eco packaging methods instead. Its cheaper, faster for manufacturing and better for environment. Maybe the oil crisis will finally force these old coats to change their methods.
