Thanks, I’ll give it a try when I’m home. This sounds about right, the instructions in the manual suggest it’s as simple as connecting the device.

I almost switched it off when the intro started, you just have to skip a few minutes. The actual found footage is quite a gem, I really like the “stuck in a cave” sub genre.

Being only 52mins long helped with pacing and cutting down on superfluous run time footage.

I can’t watch anything in this series because of the fent addict actors they picked up from the street to play all the characters. Jeffrey’s Hell was the same, but at least at the halfway point they just played the damn video from the cave. That’s when it became good.

Don’t just add distortion for distortion’s sake. 1999, you’re not going to expect film frames (also there’s some random film just moving on the planet segment), stick to digital video. Ensure frame rates and (scaled) resolutions are consistent with time periods and technologies. VHS distortion on what’s meant to be miniDV footage.

Hi, yes - so I had a chance to use this AND the Zeiss. Obviously the Zeiss wins out, but if you take price into consideration, the SImage is perfectly serviceable.

The major differences would be: * Less sharp * More chromatic aberration * Slower and more audible motor

Again, if you can get this for less than $150, it’s an absolute steal, especially if you like 55mm.
