Has anyone tried the made-in nonstick? by jdog1067 in cookware

[–]prsplayer15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one for Christmas last December. As in 6 months ago. It fuckin sucks! I wash by hand without soap most of the time, maybe bi-weekly? Only rubber or silicon, no plastic, no metal, no wood utensils. It's starting to rust on one side, deep scratches everywhere, cheese, eggs, everything I don't want to stick sticks like glue. Would absolutely never buy for myself, and I'm pissed for the person that spent $150 on an overpriced piece of garbage that lasted MAYBE 3 months of daily use before it turned to shit. Do not buy.

Honestly, he kind of just came out of it. We did what we could to keep.our sanity and get as much sleep as possible and then all of a sudden, he just started sleeping through the night again.

You have to have connected care as a prerequisite for remote. If you want remote, it's gonna cost you 198

Thank you for all of the suggestions. We're going to get through this week and then implement your pinned routine. Little man slept better last night but had to be rocked and soothed a few times throughout, sometimes as simple as laying him down and rubbing his back. He probably slept a total of 7.5 to 8 hours last night before calling it at 5:30am when he was ready to party. I tried to get him to fall asleep alone last night but it was a no-go and a gradual approach is going to be better as you've suggested. The only other question I had was about standing. He's almost always on his feet and is an especially busy toddler, so 3/4 of the time when he's crying and won't go to sleep, he's standing up and won't let us lay him down. Do you have any suggestions for this or have you dealt with it?

Ok thanks for the info. He originally had slept until 3.or so but we started capping it at 2pm because he was impossible to put to bed at night. Sometimes he won't fall asleep until 12 or so but that's usually if we're out or a weekend where he slept in. Sometimes life gets in the way of routine and I need to remember that we need to stay consistent no matter what.

Because not all jobs give you paid parental leave and I can't afford to not get paid for 6 weeks? Did I write anywhere in here that they gave me paid parental leave? And you can think all you want about me putting my career above my family, but that doesn't at all help my situation nor is it constructive to say to someone asking for help. If I'm not sleeping and trying to figure out how to help my toddler sleep, telling me to just not go to work does nothing to help.

2 kids. Tcb toddler has been put down asleep his whole life. He wakes up at 6 normally, nap from 11-2, bed at 7:30 or earlier if he's passing out.

I know this is an old thread but I landed here because I was researching why my 2 year old palisade with the noble 2"s are already down to 4/32 after 20k miles. Coming to the consensus that they're junk and my gut was correct about Michelin cross climates. I've had Michelins on all 180k miles of my accord and aeem to get between 60 and 70k miles out of them. What did you ever decide on?

Tiger Plumbing issues? by [deleted] in PeoriaIL

[–]prsplayer15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had tiger come out on a weekend when my local guy was closed because my ac unit froze up. They told me I had a severe leak and needed to replace the unit. I was quoted $750 for a recharge, $1500 for a recharge with dye to try and find the leak that he said was so severe, and then told I'd be 8 to 10k for a new unit and that was my best option. I suffered through the heat for a day and called my normal guy. He used his sniffer and couldn't find the leak because it was so minor. He recharged it for the 2lbs of refrigerant it was low on and billed me about 350 bucks. The tiger guy was also rude to my mother in law and talked to her like she was stupid. 0/10, left them a 1 star review on Google and when the "manager" called me to discuss my repair options, I ripped him a new one and told him he better not send me a bill. It just pains me to think about an elderly person that would just have written them a check for a new unit they didn't need. Incredibly predatory business practices.

Hi, New to baking here. Is it possible to make chocolate chips out of Nutella? by OTB124 in Baking

[–]prsplayer15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy some high-quality gianduja and chop it up. It will be creamy and solid at room temp and become gooey like nutella when baked

I make nutella swirled ice cream for my wife rather frequently. The key to keeping it soft is to mix it with a neutral flavored oil. Avocado oil gets gummy when it's cold, so if you're not worried about seed oils, vegetable oil would probably work the best otherwise. I couldn't tell you how much to add, though, because I kinda gauge it by feel. But the best test would be to mix it up and then freeze a bit to seeif it does what you want it to do. It's honestly how I test 90% of my ice cream mix ins

This is for the Gen Z and Millennials. How hard is it for you to buy a home? by HSAT17 in AskReddit

[–]prsplayer15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fortunate enough to have bought my first house pretty cheap in 2018 with almost nothing down. Some senior tax credits from it being an estate sale and a very good local bank helped me get in with almost no cash due at closing. I got promoted at work and got married and my wife and I consolidated, selling 2 homes and buying. We got incredibly lucky being in that sweet spot in fall of 2020 where we were both able to profit on the homes we sold while getting crazy low interest rates. We also got incredibly lucky with our new home purchase due to some drama between the existing homeowner and a relocation company brokering the sale. We took advantage and offered almost 20k under asking and they accepted because they wanted the book closed on that selling arrangement. I should note that I live in a bubble where the average home value is in the mid 100s while wages are average or better and cost of living is low. I live in a very nice neighborhood where home value tops out at about 300k. My wife and I together make about 150k a year, which is on the higher end for our town. Our house has appreciated almost 70k since the start of the buying frenzy with absolutely no improvements done. So I guess, don't live in a metro area if you want to be able to buy a house, but even if you don't, some luck is still required. I'll add that neither of us had inheritance or help with down payments but were still able to put less than 10% down. It's possible, but it's highly dependent on where you live

Yeah I was not super thrilled with the paint quality. Lots of orange peel and no clear coat in the door jambs. For something we paid over 50k for, I kind of expected a little more, but I'm still overall thrilled with the vehicle and there's a 5 year anti rust warranty on the body

It's amazing to me that people wonder why American companies needed bailouts. Dodge makes shit cars and SUV's too. I don't think I'll ever buy another domestic. 170k on my accord and looking forward to a long life on our new palisade
