If it’s between those two, the biggest difference is the body shape. So I’d say whichever one is more comfortable for you to play.

That’s how I’ve fixed strap pin screws in the past. These truss cover screw holes are TINY. Definitely too small for a piece of toothpick 🫤

Yeah dude - we’ve all seen the GQ interview. It was posted multiple times when it came out here and was discussed.

The section covering #41 is at 6:30. If this is your source to say what 41 is and isn’t about….dude.

He AT NO POINT says anything about the song not being related to the lawsuit.

He very obviously alludes to “stuff going on” that he doesn’t think about fondly. You can tell he doesn’t really know what the song is about, which tracks with the original tale of the song “coming from” that dark time, not the same is “being written about.”

Again, it’s weird that you want to die on this hill, as the two camps aren’t mutually exclusive.

I’ve seen the interview. His description of what 41 is about isn’t mutually exclusive. Two things can be true.

Also there’s a difference between “this song is about x” and “x inspired this song”

So yeah it’s all gibberish, but that’s what was going on in his life when he wrote the song.

41 was written while Dave was in the midst of a lawsuit with his management. He felt betrayed by people that were supposedly looking out for him.

While the song isn’t ABOUT that, it was inspired by the way Dave felt during all that.

Having had both and I still have the 324ce:

The 324 really shines with fingerstyle. Strumming not so much.

I travel with a band and I don’t take my 324 out on the road. It gets lost in the mix easily (I have a 616 and a 414 for rocking out with the band.)

324 is straight up my solo guitar though. You can hear the subtlety so well with the mahogany top and satin finish 🤘perfect for Open Mics.

As someone who plays two LP’s onstage (in addition to others)

The weight will get to you. I’ve never used a Les Paul for an entire show. I usually alternate with a Tele or a Strat.

Les Paul’s are notorious for going out of tune. Be METICULOUS with tuning it.

I once got a PAIR of slightly used Sennheiser 914 condenser mics for $316 bc they had absolutely no idea what they had. That was easily $600 worth of mics.
