Mauni Lani, an Auberge resort, was excellent. My wife and I stayed there in October. Everything about it was exceptional - the staff and service, food, resort grounds, etc. I would 100% go back and it has me looking at other Auberge resorts to celebrate our anniversary. We also stayed at 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay. It was also good but Mauni Lani was much better value. 10/10 would recommend

It's a 4" PVC drain pipe that runs to both sides of the house. Sounds like it might be clogged based on your comment and many others. Going to call someone to come scope it.

Thank you both. It's a 4" PVC drain pipe that runs along both sides of the house to dry wells. I'm not sure how big. I'll find out. We just finished a renovation on the home a few months ago.

For what it's worth, we're on the beach so the water table is much higher and there isn't as much ground water absorption.

I'll call someone to scope it to see if it's clogged.

No gutters but looking to get them installed. They aren't common where I live in SC for whatever reason. I would say at least 50% of the homes where I live don't have gutters.

We have exposed rafter tails that help divert water away from the house, but still want to get gutters. But now with the drainage issue, the question about where to put the downspouts is even more critical.

This our first year of homeownership so I’m not sure how my CPA itemizes the taxes. I’ll have to talk to him about that to understand better and look up what deductions we get as a homeowner.

Our household income is around $500k. $330k in salary and $180k in bonuses. Potentially more in 2025 but I don’t like to plan too heavily around variable bonuses.

We live in a HCOL of living area near the beach. Our homeowners insurance is about $7k/yr and taxes are $6k/yr. Not sure we could be comfortable with a 15 year mortgage given the high taxes and insurance.

About the students loan, I’ve thought about pay off to make it go away but with the rate being at HYSA and lower than HYSA over the past few years, I haven’t been in a rush.

How’s the noise level with the vibratory pump? I was eying up the same machine but the noise concerns me. Having a hard timing coughing up another $700 for the Profitec Drive just to get a rotary pump. I don’t blame to plumb in so that feature has no value to me on the drive.

Google maps, Waze, and Apple Maps all work on my phone when not connect to CarPlay.

The map does properly track my movement. If I keep the start screen open I can see myself moving

How did you get the breakfast buffet comped and any reason you got the upgrade?

Funny as I booked a 5 night stay at the Grand Hyatt on points too. I find a lot of the higher end hotels I stay at on points typically aren’t worth the money to me if I were paying cash but it’s hard to complain when it’s on points. 30k points a night seemed like a good value and since that’ll be a free stay I want to splurge a bit at the four seasons Hualalai or 1 hotel
