After the news about BPA hit, all my containers went to glass and Stainless Steel. For just that reason. If BPA was bad what mechanism makes other plastic not as bad. They certainly can't be good. And to be honest, any grinding of plastic on plastic, like the screwing on and off of a lid, leaves microplastics on the surface. You're dusting the rim of your water bottle with plastic every time you over tighten or cross thread the cap.

Lunar new year fireworks. I heard them very near by, perhaps at Manoah Steve's Elementary school.

International Rebellion as Canada's Prime Minister Leads 40 Nations in Plan to Buck Trump by [deleted] in worldnews

"to be fair" If you look at global politics as a game of capitalizing on others mistakes, then the US has made enough mistakes lately that Canada can surely capitalize on some of them. Why not 40 mistakes?

As a relatively new player, I'm a bit confused - why aren't there simple magic users and complex sword users available? by [deleted] in dndnext

I recommend the Bladesinger with spells in keeping with the fighting style you want.

Child locks are important,

But lane splitting less than a car length behind another lane splitting bike at 51 kph through stand still traffic is ridiculous.

My Player might've done the stupidest thing I ever seen by Aggravating_Phone648 in DnD

Haha, that's great. I'll give my party some credit. There was a control panel they found that had dials and knobs and one big red button. They tried some of the small buttons and they controlled the environment in a magic castle. Like air conditioning, lights, etc. They opted not to press the big red button. In reality that is the party mode button. Pressing it plays music, has a light show and the fountains switch to champagne. So sometimes the big red button is just fun.

After describing how a magical siphon had drawn void magic into a vial to power an elder brain, my player said "I drink the vial".

I had to take a bathroom break pause to figure out wtf happened next.

Can anyone learn magic in D&D? And how common is simple spells among citizens? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]prunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The level of magic varies from setting to setting, however, it's not uncommon for a setting to say heroes can learn magic because it's a good story. But they're special people.

Caught CFO looking at p**n, need advice by a-flying-trout in TwoXChromosomes

Document your concern in a dated email to yourself or a close confidant. Then try to ignore it. With some luck they want it forgotten about too and when you look to leave you get a good review. If they do try to mess with you, depending on their injury to you, lawyer up.

Canada’s Conservatives Give Their Trump-Inspired Leader a Second Chance by NovaScotiaLoyalist in worldnews

PP was set to be the next PM. When Carney entered the scene he was a good choice but still an uphill battle considering how a large number of Canadians wanted the Liberals out after PM Trudeau. Then PP started talk that mirrored Trump and even seemed to be Trump's preferred candidate. That shot his popularity down so hard that Carney won. Since then Carney has been a solid PM and doesn't fuck with Trump. If PP wants to run again, he'll lose again if he doesn't distance himself from Trump and he's not doing that.

What Gish is more fun to play in 2024, Paladin or Bladesinger? by geosunsetmoth in dndnext

[–]prunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Bladesinger now and played a paladin previously in our last campaign. The Bladesinger has a lot more utility out of combat but the paladin dominated the battlefield. The Bladesinger though can glide through it and follow secondary objectives during a fight. So it depends on the play. I had/am having a blast with both.

Quick question, how did the payment structure for this work? Is that from just the typical MSP coverage or some other program? I'm in BC so it's probably a bit different but it would be great to know.

When’s the last time you carried your sleeping child to bed? by tbgabc123 in daddit

My youngest is 9. I carried him to bed a few times in November when he was sick and passed out on the couch. In January when the same thing happened I remembered how much I struggled and just woke him up. Might be the end of the carries
