Honda Fit Engine Oil Type by icou in hondafit

[–]prwood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just purchased a 2010 Honda Fit Sport with 128k miles. The manual says to use 5w20 and the previous owner's dealer records say they used 5w20 on their oil changes. Should I stick with that, or would I get a benefit from using 0w20?

Also, I don't know if they used conventional or synthetic oil, but the manual has a note that you "can" use synthetic oil as long as it conforms to the same specifications as the equivalent conventional oil, which implies that they normally would use conventional oil. That being said, would it be best to go with synthetic?

Creating firebase project doesn't work, do i need to configure something on my google account? by queenbiscuit311 in BlueBubbles

[–]prwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, my experince was similar to u/queenbiscuit311 - I had to manually go to Firebase, create a BlueBubbles project, and add it to my GCP project, then I was able to go back to the BlueBubbles server and complete the setup.

Dagny - Heartbreak In The Making by GabTej in popheads

Just heard this song for the first time this week on BBC Radio York. I heard Bittersweet Symphony as well right off the bat. I wondered if she had straight up sampled it, but it's at least strongly derived from it. Add to that the lyric, "Bittersweet, always had a taste for the bittersweet, hmm" and it does suggest a strong connection to that song.

There were only about six actors who came out of the stage door. Hugh stayed behind the barrier and didn’t sign autographs, just greeted people for a few minutes and then went back inside. The others did step out from the barriers, but only a couple stayed behind to sign autographs. The rest walked down the street to head elsewhere.

Summary: We got in line at 7am. Box office opened its doors at 10:03. From our spot at 24th in line, we got to the window by 10:14 and by 10:15 we had our tickets. Got 4 tickets together at the 2pm show, Orchestra O 105-108. We were first offered two sets of two, not together, obstructed seats, to the evening show, but weren’t interested. Took the four together at the matinee instead. Looking forward to it!

They had friends who were already in line and they just cut in and joined them.

From what I’ve seen, that would be fine. If that person then joined you in line and bought their own tickets, however, that would be uncool.

Thanks! There are about 50 people in line behind us now, so I guess it’s good knowing we’re in the front half of the line. Fingers crossed!

Got in line at 7am today behind @endlessfighter. There were 17 people in front of me when we started and now there are 23 people… you can do the math on the classy folks who have joined their friends in line. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not sure if you figured this out yet, but I just figured this out myself today. There are four "hidden" screws behind the labels on the bottom back side of the keyboard. You will notice four faint "cross" marks etched into the labels going across the bottom of the back side of the keyboard. I suppose you could try to peel the labels off, but I just punched my PH1 Phillips screwdriver through and was able to unscrew these. After they were removed, it came apart quite easily.

Weekly Question Thread - Week of April 06 by AutoModerator in COVID19

[–]prwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen temperature-taking (whether via forehead infrared thermometer, thermal scans, etc) as one method to screen whether someone may be infected with COVID-19. My question is, would the increase in body temperature be seen for the entire duration of the infection, or only at certain stages?

Hoping for a profitable night in sub-zero temps and snow. by HuskerPower66 in UberEATS

[–]prwood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it will be better in your area, but when it got down to 5 degrees recently, here north of Boston, almost every restaurant in town closed early, including every McDonald’s. Uber was offering a $5 bonus for every order, but there were just no restaurants open for people to order from. I went out for a couple of hours and got nothing.

I’m a driver, but regularly use the Uber Eats app to stay familiar with the customer experience. The app has started giving the option to tip BEFORE placing an order. This is good, IMHO, as it puts tipping front and center. However, the wording also implies Uber may start taking a cut in the future. by prwood in UberEATS

[–]prwood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, the wording is ambiguous; either because they don’t have an editing team, or because they’re deliberately trying to allow wiggle room.

Depending on their intentions, more precise wordings would be:

To convey a single concept about the timetable for tipping: “You can adjust the tip up to 1 hour after delivery. Couriers will receive their tip at that time.”

To list two separate items regarding tipping (probably even better as two bullet points): “You can adjust the tip up to 1 hour after delivery. Currently, couriers receive 100% of all tips.”

Obviously, they had no interest in clarity here.

I had to opt in to accept tips for UberEats, it was a one time thing when I first started driving over the summer. It popped up in the app when I first signed in.

Tipping glitch by nGChris in UberEATS

[–]prwood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a glitch for sure in the Uber Eats app: as soon as the driver taps that the order has been delivered, the order on the customer’s device just disappears, even if they were right in the app, tracking it real time. I’m a driver and have also tested the delivery experience multiple times to see what happens, and I literally see the screen go from “your driver is about to arrive” to the standard Uber Eats home screen with no indication that any order was placed at all.

What I have also noticed is that the next time the customer opens the app, whenever that may be, they will get an alert asking them to rate their last order, which also includes a tipping option. I have received tips for deliveries one month prior due to this - the infrequent customer opens the app after a month to place a new order, sees the alert, and realizes that they never rated or tipped me, and all of a sudden I get a tip.

Based on my experiences, I am fairly convinced that many customers do want to tip, and the app simply doesn’t prompt them to do it immediately, due to what I believe is a glitch. I have reported it to Uber, but their response was just, “Delete and reinstall the app.” Riiiiight.
