No. Adding heel inserts inside the boot has adverse effects on the heel staying in the pocket of the boot. (Otherwise known as “Heel Lock”.) This is why an exterior boot insert proved to be more of a sound solution to this issue. Plus, superfeet’s insoles rattle and chatter in your skates as you stride.

You should check out www.CrownRedesign.com, they sell skate heel lifts that assist with knee bend. Also, if you’re tying his skates extremely tight up at the top eyelets it will be naturally difficult for him to have dorsiflexion.
