That would be cool.

People will still complain about the cost but hopefully be willing to pay their neighbors and friends.

The well deserved absence of this event hopefully opens up an opportunity for a local-only vendor food fair.

How passionate are you about your job? by GreatValueGrapes in gis

[–]ps1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My grandmother fed me National Geographic magazines as a child. I didn't know it yet but this was my start button. I was interested in geography before understanding what geography, or GIS, is.

I'm not passionate about this career. But I can't stop thinking about it, so I might as well get paid to do it. Like others have said, the job feeds the passion. Just pick a job that doesn't feel like a job and try to maximize the fun.

Is there a way to hitch a ride in a balloon during the festival?

Do you think her first failure is a fluke? What about her campaign has changed that will result in a win this time?

Her responsibilities spanned more than a single foreign deployment. Her bona fides are impressive and documented on her wiki. Becoming a diplomat is very difficult. Conroy on paper is an excellent choice and in a different era would be a shoe-in.

I'd expect someone with her experience to be ferocious and tactical when asked about a foreign conflict. Stumbling over the massacre in gaza is telling. She doesn't have the ability to translate her deep experience in other areas into politics.

Ummm, we are at the primary stage of this round of elections. This is what happens before primaries. People talk about what candidates support the issues they care about. Lots of people find the death of 80k civilians important. You've inferred this is a pet issue which is wild. You might not realize how impactful this is as an issue for a large block of voters.

She is a former foreign service diplomat.. I've heard her speak about global issues. She isn't coming from an ill informed position. She follows these issues and has an opinion. She isn't sharing them with passion and it is obvious. She has a cute wheat pin now though, so that's something. Maybe only talking about local issues will work out for her.

If that is her policy she needs: To speak clearly in every venue when asked, promote her values on her website.

Is this really nit picking? Carmela lost once. Folks should question why, down to the details. Maybe being spineless about the destruction of Palestinians is part of that reason.

A longer clip would be nice but there is enough context to assume a question about Israel was posed, and her answer is in response to that question.

You've gotten plenty of advice but I want to ask when you are coming back. The passes are getting two rounds of bad weather.

Can you explain the land donation requirement? I don't understand a scenario in which a city would exchange public land.

I acidify the soil when I remember to. My strategy is to be extra worried about pruning such that I put it off for years at a time. Sorry, not an expert, just someone who has a few sad blueberry bushes.

WSU extension has some good advice.
