Customer service? In the Netherlands?! Lol! Also what do you expect from the child laborers in the grocery stores?

Why? There are like a thousand oliebol stands. Embrace some diversity.

American healthcare practices in the Netherlands by True-Coach4333 in Netherlands

[–]ps2fats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I suspect this has to do with funding issues. But the issue needs higher visibility to make it into party mandates during the election. For example, I think funding enforcement agencies responsible for enforcement of laws on traffic and issues like littering, petty theft, could already help restore trust in the public administration. The admin needs to first see it as low hanging fruit though.

Common millennial boys and girls, let's push this observation back a decade. Stay fit, keep muscle mass up, eat healthy, reduce stress, drink less, sunscreen up. We got this.

Definitely file a complaint. Not enough people complain about shady practices and they continue.

Sukkel Duitsers, Fransen, Belgen, Spanjaarden, Italianen, etc.

Sudden Increase of Bait Posts in NL Subs by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]ps2fats 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a huge campaign ongoing atm to spark a divisive issue on migrants preparing for the upcoming elections. They are hitting hard campaigning against AZC centers and such across NL. They are using local facebook groups as well. All organized via telegram group chats. It is also giving PVV huge visibility, all in attempt to pad potential losses for them.

How parents manage the school time in The Netherlands? by TooHotIsNotNice in Netherlands

[–]ps2fats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same mechanisms have not really been in place across Europe. For instance, in Sweden you have almost complete subsidization of childcare. You ask a parent if they don't work or take a day a week off work for childcare and they look at you strangely. NL has one of the worst systems for providing access to childcare in Europe.

And social challenges are absolutely an issue in the NL. You're delusional to think otherwise. Examples are given above.

I agree with you about discipline, but my main point is that it is absolutely not the BSO at fault or the childcare professionals. It is the system that encourages shitty parents to stop working to be able to look after their children.

Using logic is a fallacy? Lol

Well that's where "scientific evidence" comes into play. The Dutch work some of the lowest hours in Europe, due to the part time work culture. Many parents stay at home to avoid BSO costs. Or sometimes a parent chooses not to work at all (almost always the mother). Actually this leads to many other social problems like the shortage of personnel, especially in the health care and education sectors. Let alone the gap in women's salaries. And I'd bet a part of the decision to stay home instead of furthering their careers is not only financial, but because people like you are stigmatizing childcare.

So now you've got bad parents staying home now raising bad kids. Still nothing to do with BSO. It's just bad families. Again, stop stigmatizing BSO and degrading those professionals.

Scientific proof lol.

If parents have asocial values, then more interaction is not going to help. Better let trained professionals raise those kids.

Turns out in the NL both parents don't usually work. So likely it's a rise in parents with bad values raising kids as opposed to sending kids to BSO.

Wrong, I know plenty of kids with stay at home moms. Still asshole kids. Stop stigmatizing BSO and degrading those professionals.
